Abu Nechim Ahmed starred in the 2008 Under-19 World Cup with a bag full of wickets and caught everyone by surprise. Hailing from the quiet city of Guwahati, this right-arm medium pacer made enough noise to be noticed by the selectors. Making his first-class debut for Assam in 2005, Nechim became a fast learner of the white ball and controlling it well is now his biggest plus point. He was snapped up by the Mumbai Indians in 2010, followed by Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2014.
