Arun Karthick

Right handed batsman and occasional opener, Arun Karthik is a wicketkeeper from Tamil Nadu. A player with immense talent but relatively untested at the T20 level, he proved his mettle by scoring a century in his debut match for Tamil Nadu against Karnataka in the 2008-09 Ranji season. He made his List A debut for Sri Lankan side Badureliya Sports Club in November 2007, and finished as their highest run getter in the 2007-08 season.

Karthik was part of the Chennai Super Kings in IPL3 and was picked up by the Royal Challengers Bangalore before IPL 2011. Karthik rarely got a chance to bat in the IPL but showed that he is worth his spot as a wicket keeper.

He had a good run in domestic cricket for Tamil Nadu the past year, the highlight being a match-saving 121* in the Ranji encounter against Delhi. He has been chosen to be a part of the TN team for the 2012-13 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
