Ashok Dinda has been a very well-known face in the IPL since its inaugural season in 2008. He started out with the Kolkata Knight Riders, eventually moving to the Delhi Daredevils in 2011 and Pune Warriors in 2012. This year, Ashoke Dinda joins the speedsters at RCB, promising some great action on the field.
A former India player, Dinda has had quite an impressive Ranji career. He made his debut in the 2005-06 Ranji season and took 16 wickets in 8 matches. In total he has 13 five-wicket hauls in first-class cricket. In the 2012-13 semi final of the Duleep Trophy, he took 2/85 and 7/26 against the South Zone at Visakhapatnam. The wickets in the second innings were of seasoned players like Vinay Kumar, Robin Uthappa and Abhinav Mukund.
Dinda was then granted his international call-up against Zimbabwe in 2010, but his biggest international glory came in 2012 in a T20 match against Sri Lanka in Pallekelle. Dinda took 4 wickets for 19 runs. These are his best international figures till date.
In the recently held Ranji Trophy matches, Dinda has been seen as a responsible bowler, leading from the front with his impeccable and consistent form. In the Ranji match against Railways , he bagged impressive figures of 6/105 in the first innings.
With his current form, Ashok Dinda, might just initiate carnage on ground.
