Hey.. I didn't chk this link recently.. looks lotsa stuff happening here.. :)
n yes got to agree... mods need to do something for the active fans of this site.. cause even after having 85k fans hardly 15-20 ppl post here... talking in cricketing terms.. this site has become test cric whereas youtube n FB taking the spotlight of T20.. :)

And for the sake of completeness of my comments, the 3 who have been awarded registered on this site on 2nd April, 8th April and 17th April! If they did bring 5600 fans in such short time, I agree they deserve the award! And I hope these 5600 fans regulary read and enjoyed the painstakingly created posts of the 4 Chiefs! Otherwise I'm tempted to ask: Yes, they registered but what else did they do on this site?

Otherwise, someone has to clarify that there is nothing "sub rosa" about this award since Mahesh says even he didn't read about it!

Unofficial, privately run, informal fan clubs can do whatever they want (I conducted a "mock cricket quiz to my nephews and niece and ended up awarding all of them with a ticket for the RCB-KKR match!).

The "official Fan Club" however, should remember that everything is being watched and they owe an explanation - of course you people have been giving the explanations - sometimes they are not convincing!

This fan club, in particular, should begin to respect the time their fans give - not just the number of friends they bring! I'm going to place a huge premium on my time from now on!!

I hate to play the role of an Ombudsman on this site - hopefully, I won't get an occassion that would tempt me to play this role again!

@ Shiv7 - I am sorry that you have not received any replies from me lately. But I dont think you are being completely fair here. I do remember replying to you and also chatting with you multiple times about mgm. I did inform you that we have slight backlog and that we would get back to you. I have sent you a mail explaining your status and will get sms codes on monday.

@ Raghunath - Thank you. I totally agree with some of your points and I promise to try and get something big for everyone who has truly been active and present here.
anisha@RCB on 08 May 2010, 06:46 PM
@Anisha - thanks for the explanations.

a) A You Tube contest result could be announced on You Tube - I don't remember having seen the contest announcement on this site anyway! Not that I would have participated but I would like to read and be in the know :) )

b) Looks like this site is doing everything to please fans who have made Facebook, YouTube their home and ignored those who had made RCB website their home! Does it make sense if one says "The capital of India is New Delhi but Lok Sabha is in Mumbai!?" No.

So please ensure that the capital of RCB Fan Club is brought back to www.royalchallengers.com and not Facebook or YouTube!

c) "Volumetric Contests" aimed at increasing fanbase should have a share of 25% of the awards. "Valuemetric Contests" should have 75% share.(not proper English, but conveys the message!).

Otherwise, the fancount may increase but the site content quality will slump from good to mediocre to abysmal!

I can already sense many getting exasperated by the number of jaded, "Lucky Dip" contests going on here.

If Pun33t or anyone else who has the highest number of posts on Discussion Board gets the book, I would say the credibility of this site will be restored. Because the DB link is in an obscure place, not many (including me) would even bother to click it!

u wana know the worst thing i hav mailed anisha many many times but she's not replying..it tels u evrythng.the rcb fans mean nothing to them..they just want 2 increase the fan count..i never xpected such things from a site/team belonging to Dr Vijay Mallya..
shiv7 on 08 May 2010, 05:24 PM
i redeemed for mgm contest on 24th april..but like my other people who deserve rcb tshirt even i havnt got any response from the site owners..the reason seems to be very clear they want more and more people to join but they wont give any prizes..
shiv7 on 08 May 2010, 05:06 PM
abe no one is going to get anything..they are not giving prizes to the winnerss of mgm contest n are neither sending verification sms..instead they r going on introducing new contests..trust me its a FAKE site..no one will win anything..
shiv7 on 08 May 2010, 05:04 PM
@everybody - They are indeed very lucky.

@Raghunath - Just want to clear out one stance here - We have never said that other members on site are 'inactive'. Unfortunately it was a contest for You tube this time around.

I absolutely agree that a gift as precious as the Anil Kumble book is a HUGE thing to giveaway and we need to give it away to someone like Pun33t.

And we do have some contests planned for all members to give out 'Wide Angle'.... I was going to announce the contest next week - unfortunately - I had to announce this you tube one prior to that one....

@ Raghunath - But thank you - point duly noted! Will make sure that all the Pun33ts are happy first before we proceed to others :-)
anisha@RCB on 08 May 2010, 04:13 PM
Yep ! Very lucky guys . . But the sad thing s theres no reward for active members in RCB fan site :-(
iSujith on 08 May 2010, 01:25 AM
People in the site as well deserve such awards.. Its a honour to have this..... Please for members as well... Common can we have something... Even I am active on this site....
Avakash on 08 May 2010, 12:01 AM
I agree with Pun33t and strongly feel he should have got the award - he has some 127 posts on the discussion board! I don't know about others, just happened to notice his! The number of clicks I've made on discussion board is less than the square root of the number of discussions he has posted!

Somebody came to RCB site from Facebook and went to You Tube and did something and something else and was "declared very active" and gets a Rs 6000 prize! This is a silly award for a silly reason! Looks like you had an award and wanted to invent a reason to give it out in a rational way!

Someone else came straight to RCB site and was "declared inactive" and hence didn't get the prize!

Pisses off people like Pun33t!

I think the brains behind this site need to get down from their helicopter and walk on the ground! Bare foot! To understand how Pun33ts feel!
Raghunath on 07 May 2010, 10:28 PM
n wat abt the active members of this site.. ???
Pun33t on 07 May 2010, 02:39 PM
congratulations... lucky guys.. :)
Pun33t on 07 May 2010, 02:39 PM
Really an envious prize to win and congratulations to the winners. Was this contest open only for those who had participated in the Youtube campaign?
Wizardprince on 07 May 2010, 02:08 PM
