burning the midnight oil - who's gonna make the shortlist??
*YAWN*
it's 1:54am. the team that's shortlisting the apps for the Fanatic Fans Challenge asked if I'd like to share my opinions... "oh yes!" i said eagerly at 7pm. I'm finally getting around to it, and boy is it tough! so many apps to go through! so many words... actually makes picking the shortlist a little easier (wrt to bloggers). if you're words are interesting enough to stand out amongst the midst, you're definitely getting my reco!
thought i'd share some apps if there's any of ya'll up at this late hour as well. (NOTE: BEING MENTIONED IN THIS POST DOES *NOT* MEAN YOU'RE SHORTLISTED!!! The whole jury needs to add up the points tomorrow and decide as a group!) ((I just love sharing stuff with ya'll))
@raghav-ramaiah surprised you didn't apply for chief blogger! you have quite the way with words!
2:50am - good post good post good post! what an opener! via @shreshth-dugar. And I quote (from the second answer): "I would go home crying. But like a crack addict, I would be there the next afternoon." Now that's brevity, humor and interestingness.
Man, someone has a lotta family! Read the references :) @ritish-singhal
hehe --> "UPL" by @sujansalian
hello new face! @suhas2090. we don't get many fans from kolkata!
3:18am Sometimes, fans complain this site is too much about contests and not enough about cricket. Nonsense! Have you read these apps?? FILLED WITH passion for cricket. Word by word description of the emotions felt by cricket fans and appreciation for the intricacies of the sport! Read this long long app - @abhhi
3:21am - and now i get mega controversial - hey @FrontWicket - i can't say I'll vote for you this time around, but man you've got some serious skill hidden in you. I'd love to see you develop as a blogger as a Fanatic Fan here. What say you? Your approach is young, new, refreshing. Yet, you need to work on your judgement of how much people want to hear (in your rare case, MORE) and on describing the sport more aptly. Practice could make you near-perfect.
grammar matters grammar matters grammar matters!! as does formatting!!! (regd: @dit)
@teena - lovely to see you're applying again, this time as a blogger! wow, didn't know you were a writer! def keep writing, you're good at story telling and you should develop this further!
i wish this coverage rhymed like a real poem... :) @seth1
+1 to @yamini for "The bangalore fans are far more loyal and intelligent wen it comes to the game."
(to be continuously update for the next hour or so...)
UPDATE: that was fun! thanks guys for writing up some good stuff! i didn't know that many of ya'll were into local cricket (gully cricket & tournaments). more than the description of the matches, i felt the true passion came in describing how your city views cricket. fun to see diff people from the same city explain the passion from different angles :)
