Collect Votes and References

This is coming a bit late but just want to introduce you to the feature of Collect votes and references.

After your application has been approved on FFC3, you will be allowed to start collecting votes and references.

When you are ready to start collecting votes, you can click on 'Collect References and Votes'

royal challengers

After you click on this, you will be led to a page where you will be asked to fill in your friends email addresses or import your address book from your gmail or yahoo account. Your friends will then get emails asking to vote for your application and give you references.

What your friends will see when they come to your application is the 'Vote for Me' button

When your friends land on this page, all they have to do is click on 'Vote for Me' and you will get a vote. They can also write you a reference, which will work as a testimonial from your friend, regarding your application.

So go ahead, start collecting votes and references! This should help you understand the process better.
All the best!

Natasha: As Sujan asked how do we get our app on the Featured list.

If i remeber right for the IPL Review contests, all the apps were getting displayed in the Latest and Popular section, how is the same not done here?

Y do we need to get it featured?
Sachinbengaluru on 03 Aug 2010, 04:29 PM
@sujan: your issue has been resolved :)
natasha@RCB on 03 Aug 2010, 04:13 PM
@ Natasha,
Yeah, I am still facing that problem. When I view my application, it shows zero vote and zero reference.
And how does one get his application featured? Can I get a link of that article? Probably I missed it.
Sujansalian on 02 Aug 2010, 06:29 PM
@ushma: if your profile isnt featured... you have to get it featured.. :) get tips on getting them featured..

@Sujan: are you still facing that prob??
natasha@RCB on 02 Aug 2010, 12:20 PM
@ Natasha
I am facing a similar problem. Some of my friends have confirmed that they have voted for me, but by vote count is still showing zero to me!
Is that any bug?
Sujansalian on 01 Aug 2010, 08:22 PM

Ushma-Anirudh on 31 Jul 2010, 05:03 PM
Some of my friends who have voted me, have missed on the reference part, now they want to their reference to my listing, how can that be done now because its not allowing them to do so. Any help on this :)

@docsom: working on that feedback.. Somehow you ask us everything that is on our to-do list for the day.. its like you are predicting what we are going to do next.. :)
natasha@RCB on 29 Jul 2010, 05:46 PM
@Natasha: Yeah its working fine, thanks for the correction and support provided
Docsom on 29 Jul 2010, 05:25 PM
@Natasha: When a person tries to vote, its quite confusing because they have to register and then they go away from this page --- Should be a little simpler than this
-After voting there is no notification that the vote has been accepted
-If a person is clicking on the Vote For Me icon, there is no notification that the vote has been accepted and you cannot vote again
-Am not able to view how many votes or references i have
-Am not able to view other applications and vote for them
Docsom on 29 Jul 2010, 12:35 PM
@Natasha: the link on external links and facebook is working fine now, thanks for your support. Waiting to hear the results from your end :)
Docsom on 28 Jul 2010, 06:21 PM
@natasha: Yeah the issue is fixed, but again not able to view the number of votes like others have mentioned
I have noticed when we paste this link on Facebook, the title says its as FFC 2 and the description says it as FFC3
Docsom on 28 Jul 2010, 03:55 PM
Currently what i see is Sachin Kodagali - Applied for FFC3 has 0 vote(s) and 0 Reference(s). But when my friend logged in with his account he saw some votes for my FFC3 app.
Sachinbengaluru on 28 Jul 2010, 03:50 PM
@sachin: on the top of the page, you will be able to see the number of votes and references you have got. Check it there.
natasha@RCB on 28 Jul 2010, 01:19 PM

One more point - we have lot of friends in RCB Portal and Club. I want to send them , my FFC3 app for voting. I am currenlty not able to figure out there mail id's via RCB Website. When i go to there profile page i dont see to get this info, nor i can post on there wall. Is there a better way?
Sachinbengaluru on 27 Jul 2010, 08:05 PM
4 people have voted for me, but i dont seem to see that in my FFC3 app page - http://www.royalchallengers.com/cricket-online-contests/ffc3/application

Not sure if this a Bug or a correct implementation
Sachinbengaluru on 27 Jul 2010, 08:02 PM
Dear Kunjan,

You need to fill in all the three sections. I guess, that could have been the reason for your app not getting through.
Wizardprince on 27 Jul 2010, 06:21 PM
Repairing that.. Thanks
natasha@RCB on 27 Jul 2010, 06:00 PM
Do all the sections need to have an entry? or is it choose from one of them? My app got rejected, would have liked to know why..
KunJan on 27 Jul 2010, 05:49 PM
We have already started it, but the information seen by others is a little not in order kind. Section 2 info is appearing in Section 3, please let me know what needs to be done
