Let's Welcome the RCB Fan Advisory Board!
The first event of the calendar: RCB Fan Summit 2012 was held on 28th January, 2012. The vision behind this Summit was the RCB mantra: "For the fans; by the fans". 20 fans were invited from across India; The invite was based on their innovative ideas to invite new fans and engage the fans and also, their dedication to work for the RCB Fan Club.
After the exciting round of welcome by B Sridhar (who played MC for the afternoon), the fans were divided into 4 categories of their interest: Contests, Meet-ups, Bloggers and Recruitment. After an hour-long brain-storming session, the fans collectively put forward their ideas for the Club. These were discussed, framed and also measured on feasibility for the implementation.
And what a day it was…! Saturday, 28th January, 2012. It is going to stay in my memory for a very long time…
All 20 of you guys were superrr! It was a real fun interacting with you.. And a big THANK YOU to all of you for time, ideas and dedication!
Divya, you are my first friend from Kolkata, don’t forget to send me the rasogullas! Disha, great to meet you finally.. Stunn your mascot was really superb. Mridul you are the youngest TOP 20 among us!
Allen, get set and go with the first meet-up? Shireen your presentation was rocking! Raghu, your experience will help us a long way.. Ayush are your ready with the first blog? :P
Chintan, I know you are ready with the first series of quiz and Suhasini, you will rock on! The enthusiasm Kunal and Mukesh was un-matchable. You guys were on prowl! Parathasarthy, waiting for the calendar to launch… Nivedith, let’s make a crazy flash game! Vishwajeet, your turn to make the quizzes starts now! I can imagine winning at least 1...! :)
Sachin, your ideas and apps will be the best ones sure; Tejas, you are so full of life! Naresh, your experience in the past will guide us well and Poshin, when do we get to read your fun blogs? Harish you have to do so much!
I did not want that day to end.. But well, it did. And now is the time for the new beginning!
So here we begin the journey called “Born in Bangalore, to thrill the world” and the fans are ready to “Take Control”. The teams are ready and raring to go..

The Fan Summit 2012 proved fruitful for both, the fans and the Club. The Fan Advisory Board was formed and will soon kick into action running and managing the massive RCB Fan Club. Keeping in mind the motive of RCB: Born in Bangalore; to thrill India, the ideas were crafted to take the Club to become the most engaging Fan Club in India.This was followed by the official launch party for IPL 5. The party showcased the first ever 3D projection show at UB city. It was attended by the fans and 5 local RCB players along with our mentor, Anil Kumble. The perfect end for the perfect day..

COMMUNITY MANAGERS
Tania@RCB and Dhiraj@RCB are the community managers of the Fan Club. They cover site updates, upcoming contests and what's going on in the Fan Club in the Blog. They are also available to answer queries and help out the fans with the site.
Together with the Fan Advisory Board - They run all the activities, meetups and contests on RCB - on and off the Site.
