Ever since Auction was announced, so many of us asked for him. We wanted this pacer back in RCB. Apart from his skills, we missed this Davanagere express! After all, RCB wanted to see their home boy in Red-n-Gold. And if you still have doubts, here is the reason why we missed him so much...
In first class Cricket, he lead he pace attack for Karnataka team after Dodda Ganesh and David Johnson retired. He was the second highest wicket-taker in 2007-08 Ranji season. He mentored his team-mates and fellow RCBians Sreenath Aravind and Abhimanyu Mithun; bagged 46 wickets in 2009-10. Overall, in First Class he has bagged 242 wickets in just 67 matches.
Vinay Kumar played 33 matches for RCB from 2008 to 2010, taking 30 wickets, coming in third in the overall IPL wicket takers list in 2010 with 16 wickets. He played for the now defunct Kochi Tuskers Kerala in 2011, taking 12 wickets in 13 games.

And just a day after the Auction, Vinay Kumar bagged 3 important wickets against Australia proving that he is the right choice. Whatever the "amount for crictics" comment, we know Team RCB gas made the perfect choice!
Team RCB's pace attack led by super duper (handsome!) Zaheer Khan and Dirk Nannes now also has the awesome trio of the local flavor: Aravind + Mithun + Vinay Kumar! Well well well.. As Vijay Mallya tweeted ""I feel RCB will be "the force" in IPL 5. We have 2 solid additions to an already finalist team Cheers!" And we totally agree to him, don't we???
