SHORT POST: RC Fans based in Mumbai (bloggers & photographers) have been invited to cover the Signature Derby at Mahalaxmi Racecourse. REPLY RSVP - we have space for 4 fans on saturday and 4 fans on sunday (Disha, Niyati and Nidhi have already RSVP-ed - 5 more slots)
UPDATE (longer version):
Club RC has recognized the contribution of RC fans and is showing their gratitude by inviting fans to the Signature Derby taking place at Mahalaxmi race course, Mumbai, on Feb 6 and 7. The event starts at 1pm and goes on until 6pm on both days. It's a high profile event - there will be an opening ceremony tomorrow, and celebrities will show up on Sunday.
The event is open to all RC fans - transport costs/stay costs will not be covered, so you need to be in/around Mumbai. We are giving priority to fans who can cover the event (via photography and blogging) and share the experience with the entire Fan Club.
Thus far, fans Disha (blogger), Niyati (photographer) and I (blogger) have RSVP-ed. We have four tickets for each day. If more than four fans RSVP, it's only fair that different fans go on each day.
So RSVP in the comments! I'll keep checking and coordinate passing of the tickets from me to you. Email me your phone number at nidhi@royalchallengers.com to make it easier.
Together with the Fan Advisory Board - They run all the activities, meetups and contests on RCB - on and off the Site.

I must confess to having secretly betted (a few times only! @Rs 10 per ticket)for Jackpot when I was in school (1970s!) so that a bumper will rid my family of the hardships of middle-class life! The 'carried over' amounts were too attractive to not get tempted. If we miss by 1 race, 1st Runner Up, 2 races, 2nd Runner Up and it all looked so easy!
Being taboo, I did not have the guts to discuss with 'knowledgeable people'!
Unfortunately, instead of giving horse numbers while buying the ticket, I gave jockeys' jersey numbers! and missed!
Let me try to recap the commentary of 1970s here (imagine listening to this in the tone and triple the excitement of F1 commentary)
Nearing 200m, it Wanderer, Manitou
Wanderer Manitou
Manitou Wanderer
Nearing 100m
Wanderer, Wanderer
Manitou, Wanderer, Manitou, Wanderer, Manitou, Manitou, Manitou
And M A N I T O U it is! And the commentator collapses because his horse didn't make it!
I must say I am out of touch with racing in the last 2 decades!
@Nidhi - if there is a 'selection process' do I qualify for this?
Great chance Mumbai FFs - enjoy!
