1 hour to tie things up. IF we were in a country that didn't live by IST. Hehe. ooooh suspense... the power is in this blog post... :P

WHILE I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION. New contest launching tomorrow. More winners. Above 13 (i think. i should confirm this...). You DON'T need a passport for this one :P So if you DON'T make the shortlist today, you have every right to demand a WHY and we'll try to answer your WHY'S over the next few days..... right, so if you DON'T make the shortlist, pls come back tomorrow just to see what we have in store for you. OH and come back on Monday to see videos of RAHUL DRAVID!!

Regarding passport Nidhi, i have a suggestion. Make it mandatory for anyway before applying to have a passport. Include this in the FFC3 process. Before starting to write the application , person should confirm that he has a passport. Atleast he should say he has applied and will get it sometime soon.

This will help you not to rework things at the end as well as the process is also more structured. If u want i can do a small design on how this passport check looks.

@Sachin - you may notice only 6 shortlisted fans in the "podcast" category. We didn't feel the need to throw in a #7 just because we said we had space for 7 fans. We actually did this during FFC2 as well..... some of the reasoning: we shouldn't offer someone a chance to meet Dravid because there was no one else in their category who was better (not fair to other categories) and we don't want to upset the judges by displaying apps that aren't as up to mark as we'd like. The blogger category DID have great apps, and shortlisting 7 wasn't easy.

Re: no passport - we have #8, #9, #10 for the Blogger & Photographer category - they will be contacted.

@all - we'll be posting the whys tonight/tomorrow morning, will wait for more people to have the opportunity to ask.

regd. the Voting Process - you may notice that the fan with the votes didn't get shortlisted while one of the fans with the least votes did. Why then do we have the voting process? To tell if someone is passionate about the position. Why then do we ignore it in some rare cases? Because we sometimes come across a passive fan and see a lot of potential in them; potential that can bubble up into activity and lots of great things.

Thanks Mridul for telling that my app was good. Sometimes we need to learn from our mistakes and improve i am sure i will go through that phase now.
