RCB Auctions - All for a noble cause
RCB Auctions 2012 was a one-off chance for fans to bid and own the most precious RCB merchandise, specially autographed by various celebrity guests on Sid Mallya's show, 'No Boundaries.' It was pre-decided that proceeds from the auctions would go to NGOs that the highest bidder of each product chose.
A car pillow autographed by Dilshan was the first piece of merchandise to get off the auctions list as Mr. Jeffry DaCosta, who chose to donate the sum to ‘Being Human,’ won it with a bid of Rs 6000.
With Adam Gilchrist's autographed cap up for auction now, the craze to win it is already showing. The bids placed since morning have seen the seen the current going amount on the cap rise to Rs 3500, which is more than double of its base price.
With the pair of gloves autographed by AB De Villiers set to go up for auction next, the buzz will only increase. Bangaloreans will also want to get hold of the cricket balls autographed by home boys Aravind, Vinay and Mithun.
The best though has been saved for the last - The mighty Chris Gayle's autographed helmet! The one who wins it will always cherish it!
