RCB bowling Attack: Choreographers on 22 yards…

The stage is set and our choreographers are ready to bowl them over! Yep, not bowlers, choreographers; because they make the batsmen dance to their tunes. And they have their own specialties. Here is a low down on the type of dances you will see the opposition do in this IPL7.

royal challengers

Hip Hop Specialists:

Yep, get ready to see the batsmen hip hopping their way out of a bouncer or hopping mad due to a toe crushing Yorker! With lead choreographers like Ravi Rampaul ( of the Super Over fame), Varun Aaron ( The Jamshedpur Express), Ashoke Dinda ( The death-over knell) and Mitchell Starc ( with ‘Terminal’ velocity ); and great backups like Harshal Patel, Sandeep Warrier you could enjoy the dance moves of the batsmen while playing a Beyonce track in the background!

The Twist Inducers:

Remember Elvis? Get ready to watch the batsmen do his famous retro dance move on the pitch – The Twist. The choreographers will tweak the music in such a way, that the batsmen will be in a spin! With Muralitharan ( the Master of the Art form) leading young talents like Jakati and Chahal, get ready to watch the twist of the tail ( and top) in every over!

The Ballet-dictorians!

The batsmen will also be seen on tip toes, trying to gauge the pace and extending their arms to get to the ball when Sachin Rana and AN Ahmed trick them with their guile and change of pace. Fast, Slow, Slow, Fast, the batsmen will be forever in a state of trance, trying to get their extensions right.

So, if you love those dance reality shows on TV, be sure to tune in to an RCB match and watch our choreographers ask every batsmen one pivotal question “So you think you can dance?”
