Sachin scores a DOUBLE TON!

Something affecting a couple of us RCB fans - who to root for?

India? South Africa? Indian Royal Challengers? South African Royal Challengers? Both? All of them? The sport of cricket??

Sachin is on par of Dravid - they're beyond the teams they're part of, they're true legends. Yes, I'll admit a part of me wondered if RCBian Dale Steyn would get Sachin out at 199 in today's match (WHAT LIKE YOU DIDN'T THINK THAT), and the other part of me just kept thinking Dale boy, let Sachin do it, let 'im do it! Just like all of us were yelling at Dhoni to get out the way and LET SACHIN STRIKE THAT BALL. I mean think about it.

WHAT IF Dale did get Sachin out? Would South Africans cheer for him? Would they just look at him and think "really man? a cricket legend was about to score a DOUBLE ton just after beating the world record and you prevented that? don't you like the sport of cricket?! don't you want to see the standards (i.e. records) raised??"

I write this post in the wake of the last few days when we've seen a lot of discussion about rooting for teams over players as we saw some RCB fans vote for India and some for S.Africa in the last few matches (test and ODI). At the end of the day, the South Africans are playing for us anyway which means our team will be way stronger (didn't someone say Delhi Daredevils would put up a fight?) Haah.

What are your thoughts?

One of the best examples of Sportsmanship was displayed when Sachin crossed 194 mark and Boucher was the first one to congratulate him...the only one rather :)
