So Close, Yet so Far!

The Semi-Finals Match against the Chennai Super Kings (IPL Champions of 2010) proved a stab in the back for RCB!

The unexpected weather conditions in Durban, slip-ups by the players, Dravid not jumping in time for a ball, Akhil letting another ball slip right out of his hand, Robin also played butter fingers with the rest of the team.
When it was our turn to bat, we just lost wickets after wickets. Although Manish Pandey's wicket proved to be a real treat and a fight compared to everyone else's, losing Virat Kohli, Uthappa and Dravid's wickets hurt the most!

I have one question for all those of you who were watching..
If this were the absolute perfect world, with the absolute perfect situation of perfect weather, how do you think you would have liked the game to go?

Well Guys I was there in the ground, the atmosphere was electric, RCB fans were all over, We had more fans than CSK. The rain was a disappointment and the crowd moved off thinking that there will be no more play. The injury to Steyn was the truning point, if he was not injured he would have takne wickets the team tepended on him for wicket taking and that where we lost the game when Steyn left the field of play. Remember we were one short with batsman as well no Steyn. Put these two together bowling and batting by Steyn we were well in.

i sat awak till 2:30 to watch the match and the presenation it just wasn't our day sadly things after the rain wasn't at our side too and in a pitch like durban where raw pace works wonder we lost our main pace bowler :( so a big blow in tht then catches :( batting yet failed except manish :( so anyways a gud tourney by rcb but ending was a bit tragic :(

Disappointed. I slept at night 1:00, woke again @ 2 just to see our score after 10 overs.

Without steyn there would have been a difference i am sure, 140-150 was chasable. However it was disheartning to see our top order except manish failing.

Now i am sure as many other fans we are with the team, i dont know how many of these players will be there next time around for IPL. We will still keep supporting men in Red and Gold.

It should have been a tough & Competitive Match, irrespective of whether RCB won or Lost...Definitely,I didn't want our Current Team to Split-up after such a Luckless/Listless Performance!

Ofcourse RCB way. Overall not a great day for us. With Steyn in place and in such a wicket, I am sure it would have been a different ball game (like how we saw CSK opening bowlers bowl). The other thing that was exposed is the inability to play some genuine swing bowling by some of our batsmen. Let's stand up to the team and support them. We might not see many players from this current squad during IPL4. We do not know what is gonna happen during the auctions and who all will be retained.

Cheers
