Ji haan - Yeh IPL hain BOSS....!
This is THE adventure, this is THE carnival - Totally Unmissable.
Because cricket means a lot to us. And cricketers are the Gods of this unifying religion. And because IPL brings to us the 20-20 format, 9 crazily competitive teams, the world’s best cricketers playing together, the most passionate Team owners and the most loyal fans cheering on - in India. It doesn’t get better than this! The hype is completely justified.
There’s just a week to go for this cricketing mayhem to begin and so, here we present 7 RCB trivia details to re-kindle your spirit to our motto of Game for More !!
1. RCB openers scored 27 runs in the first over, the most from an opening over in history of IPL, off Mumbai Indians bowler Abu Nechim in their IPL 4 encounter in Chennai on May 27, 2011.
2. With 44 sixes in IPL 4, RCB's Chris Gayle has slammed highest number of sixes in any edition of IPL.
3. RCB became the first team to register seven wins in a row in the fourth edition of IPL, eclipsing the previous best record of 6 each by Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals in 2008.
4. Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore in the absence of injured Daniel Vettori and the 22-year-old Indian became the youngest captain to lead an IPL side thus far.
5. RCB's score of 79/1 after 6 overs against KTK at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore on May 8, 2011, is the best team score in IPL 4 after first 6 overs.
6. Chris Gayle became the first player to hit two centuries in IPL, with both coming in IPL 4. He scored the second century (in 46 balls), the fastest in IPL 4, against Kings XI Punjab on May 6, 2011.
7. Chris Gayle and Tillakaratne Dilshan were associated in a partnership of 123 for the first wicket against Kolkata at the Eden Gardens - Bangalore's highest in the IPL, surpassing the 93 (unbroken) between Jacques Kallis and Manish Pandey against Rajasthan in 2010.
We hope you’re geared up and ready because the Countdown to our Carnival has begun...
Cheers !!!
