Vijay Zol- India’s Rising Talent
Contested by India, Australia and New Zealand, the tri-series is a platform for abundant rising talent. Young RCBian Vijay Zol has been elected to captain team India this year and he promises to pack a punch with his batting capabilities. He has already scored a 46 in the first match against Australia.
Vijay's feats as a young cricketer have been incredible. He was the highest scoring batsman in the U-16 Vijay Merchant trophy held in 2010 with a haul of 858 runs in 7 matches. He was lauded for his efforts by Virender Sehwag and was also gifted a bat signed by him encouraging him to keep up his good work.
Vijay started playing for Maharashtra U-19 in 2011, and made a record breaking score of 451* in 467 balls against Assam. He batted for 11 hours and hit 53 boundaries. He broke the record of former first class cricketer Bhausaheb Nimbhalar who had scored 443 not out against Pune in a Ranji Trophy match in 1948-49. Vijay has a long way to go and we hope he keeps up his stellar form and keeps making us proud.
He, along with the fab members of the Fan Advisory Board, plot new schemes to engage with fans and trouble shoot their problems.
