Virat Kohli - The Milestone Man
Though India put up a brave fight against New Zealand in the first ODI, they lost the match by 24 runs. While there was a disappointment associated with the loss, one got to witness some outstanding batting from Virat Kohli. He stole the show single-handedly while churning up yet another record.
Virat in the last few years, has been breaking and making records, much to the delight of his fans. In the first ODI against New Zealand at Napier, Virat made a huge impression by reaching 18 ODI centuries in record time and became the fastest batsman in the world to do so. This is one of the few records he has achieved in recent times.
During Australia’s tour of India in October 2013, Virat scored his century in 52 balls, the fastest by any Indian batsman. This made a huge impact on his career graph as a batsman. He eventually topped the ICC ODI rankings for batsmen in 2013, before being replaced by AB de Villiers. Besides his milestones, he is also the joint-fastest cricketer to reach 5000 runs in ODI.
At this rate, he may well surpass many greats of the cricket world.
He, along with the fab members of the Fan Advisory Board, plot new schemes to engage with fans and trouble shoot their problems.
