What’s your superstition?
Too much has been said about cricketers’ superstitions. (Here’s one for you anyway: Virat Kohli’s recent superstition is wearing a black wristband - He had it on during his last 183 as well!)
But what about fan superstitions? Yes! They are no less. They contribute as importantly to a Team’s success as any other thing. The dedication of a player’s practice is only matched by the passion of a fan’s prayer. To top it we Indians are definitely the most superstitious people, as they say - “Cricket is an Indian game accidentally discovered by the English.” !!
So, RCB decided to ask all its fans to tell us about their match superstitions. And here’s what we got !
1)not moving an inch during the over
2)holding the remote continuously in their hands
3)wearing only white or the RCB Jersey during the match
4)watching the match on Doordarshan for getting wickets
5)not changing their seating postures/ chairs for any game
6)watching the crucial matches in mirrors
One fan Adithya Rao Mairpady even told us that he tries everything from switching chairs and positions to sending people out of the room till things get right!
Other fans support the opposing Team as the Team they support generally loses.
Wow!! It can’t get better than this for sure.
Thank you RCBians for sharing your superstitions with us. We now know what you’ll be doing this IPL Season! And - feel free to post more here, WE are all ears ( fingers crossed for RCB of course..:))
Cheers !
