Yohan Blake, the world’s second fastest man has a keen interest in cricket. Not many know but before he moved on to sprinting he used to play for the Kingston Cricket Club in Jamaica as a right arm fast bowler. He even says he can bowl quicker than our very own Zaheer Khan!

A big follower of cricket, Blake followed and met the Indian team during their Caribbean tour last year. Brian Lara and Sachin Tendulkar are his favourite cricketers but when asked about the current generation of cricketers, he has a lot of admiration for Virat Kohli. He says, “Virat is a young and a great player. I really love watching him play.”

Yohan Blake is a good friend of Chris Gayle. “Chris is a great friend and I follow his side very closely. I want to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore because of Chris”. Blake completed the Men’s 100 meter race at the London Olympics in just 9.75 seconds, taking the silver medal and coming second only to an even bigger Chris Gayle fan, Usain Bolt. With the run-up itself lightning fast, imagine how fast a bowler he could be!
