Christopher Barnwell is an all rounder from Guyana, West Indies. Barnwell started playing for Demerara Cricket Club at the age of 14. A right arm fast bowler who can hold a tight line and length to suffocate batsmen, he can also hit the deck when needed to give his bowling an edge. Barnwell’s batting is more than adequate, he has 589 runs in 33 domestic T20s to go with his 18 wickets.
Consistent performances in the Caribbean T20 tournament gave Barnwell a chance to play for the national side, making his T20I debut in 2011 against Pakistan. His best score is a fighting 34 against India in 2011.
Recently, he smashed 88 runs and took 1-19 for Guyana against Jamaica which took his team to 2012-13 Caribbean T20 tournament final in which he top scored for his team with 32 against Trinidad and Tobago.
