The association with our RCB fan club has marked an incredible time in my life, dotted by fun experiences with some delightful fellow fans.
My journey began with reliving moments that we all cherish from IPL 2 and getting new fans to the club, quoted in the post below by the community manager:
The warm response from you guys was instrumental in my making the cut to represent the fan club as RCB’s Chief Blogger for IPL-3.
Having the good fortune to live a dream all of us in this fan club dream of, it was my constant endeavour to enable as many fans to live an experience, however small, that they wanted to with the team.
It came through in the form of:
Contests to keep the adrenaline going
Tour Diaries for the inside stuff
Player interviews that revealed their other side
Whether it was getting answers to questions that you had for your team, running contests that got you inside stories from the tour, running after players to fulfill your requests for personalized merchandise, or just spending time walking you around the hotel (to say a quick hello to some cricketers), it made my day to be able to share the ecstasy of the experience with you.
One of my prized possessions from the tour still remains an email filled with innocent glee from a fan studying in high school on receiving a personalized Dravid jersey and letter that I managed to eke out.
IPL was intense, and after nearly 100 pages of writing and 45 days on the road of shared experiences with you guys, it was time to step back a little, digest what had transpired, set up a new phase in my life that has seen me change cities, and come back refreshed. For those that are wondering, that time is real soon.
