About Me My name is Rohit Bharadwaj , a student of visual arts and advertising . Needless to say I'am an avid fan of RCB. My other passions include travelling, and playing the guitar a bit and getting to the Chinnaswamy stadium eveytime RCB takes to the field for a game. I have been audience to all of RCB's game's in the 2008 season and i don't intend to miss any in the future too!
I am the most fanatic RCB fan because... I have been a Bangalore city's fanatic since the time i can remember and anything to do with the city gets my total support and commitment towards it. As i follow football a lot , i had been longing to support a home team from a long time and the formation of RCB made this possible . So i can be as fanatic a supporter as it can get!
Strategy Map for RCB - Airtel Champions LeagueMy preferred line up : Jesse ryder , Manish Pandey , Robin Utthappa , Rahul Dravid, Ross Taylor, Van der merwe , Mark boucher , Anil kumble , Virat Kholi , Praveen kumar , Vinay Kumar
why do I prefer this line up : Because our team always lags behind in the batting department and my line suggests a lot of lusty hitters of the ball which is a requirement for the T20 format . Line also has a good mix of all rounders which i feel is the key for this format of the game. So this mix according to me will get out the best out of RCB.
My opening match strategy: It would be preferably be batting first if the toss is won and totally attack and go on the offensive in the first 8 overs and not loose more than 2 to 3 wickets so as to totally demoralize the opponents with a sizable score and a heavy strike rate too, then we can take overs 8 to 15 easy with a maximum of 2 wickets lost and from the 16th over i would again like to see all hell break loose from our batting and totally annihilate the opponents bowling order and a final score of 180 to 230 is the best possible score i would like to see. i know it has not happened before but I'am an optimistic and believe nothing is impossible when it comes to RCB.
If we end up fielding first then i would like to see the strike bowler to be Kumble as he has show us in the Ipl2009 final match, what he is capable of and then carry the next 5 to 7 overs with our pace attack and we somehow manage to bag 5 wickets by around 12 to 15 overs then we could choke them with our spin attack and strangle them to a very cheap total. But it has to be made sure the experienced bowlers or the bowlers doing well on that specific match day have reserve of at least 2 overs towards the end to contain the opponents.
My best T20 match:
Royal Challengers Bangalore Versus Hyderabad Deccan Chargers. It was the most memorable match till date as it was the only home win for RCB till date on its home ground and i have been longing for many more in the future since then. |
