I am the most fanatic RCB fan because... I love the Royal Challenger virtues of being game for life, having the spirit and character to take on life's challenges, just like RCB did in the 2nd edition of IPL, by rising like the phoenix and making it to the finals.
Strategy Map for RCB - Airtel Champions LeagueMy preferred line up : Robin Uthappa
Manish Pandey
Jacques Kallis
Rahul Dravid
Virat Kohli
Mark Boucher
Roelof Van Der Merwe
Praveen Kumar
Anil Kumble
B. Akhil
Vinay Kumar
Bishnoi
why do I prefer this line up : The team needs openers who are aggressive naturally and are suited to also hold the innings till the end. Robin Uthappa has slowly matured into a more complete batsman and can provide the impetus at the start with Manish Pandey, who has also come across as a more natural striker of the ball. In the event of the openers not lasting long, one needs a mix of stability and controlled aggression in the upper middle order, and thats why Kallis and Dravid make up number 3 and 4. The next three batsman at 5,6 and 7 are people who would need to play around the middle overs by constantly keeping the scoreboard ticking and would also need to up the ante when the moment comes. Virat,Boucher and Merwe fill that role beautifully. As far as the lower order is concerned, the bowling is bolstered by the medium pace of Praveen,Akhil, Kallis and Vinay, and ably supported by 2 crafty spinners in Kumble and Merwe. The medium pacers wouuld cause the ball to skid early on and would make it tough for scoring for the opposition. This line up features as per the rules, 4 foreign players in the final eleven.
My opening match strategy: Opening match strategy against the Cape Cobras would be go with the same set up and see if the bowling is able to choke the opposition by having a flux of 3 Medium Pacers and 2 spinners. I would want to see both the spinners in matches.
My best T20 match:
I like this match very much, as RCB came back from the brink to record a magnifent victory under pressure and brought a lot of smiles back into the camp. CSK were 85 for 2 after 13 overs and all seemed lost for RCB, and then what followed was spectacular stuff, as CSK were strangulated by some brilliant fielding and bowling from RCB. References:iamthefanI am sorry but i don't think you deserve this job, sir;simply because of the quality of other applications.Your cricket knowledge seems very limited(apparent from the fact that you had Kevin Pietersen in your squad earlier, who all know isn't playing and changed it only when one good user pointed out).Apart from that, your playing line-up and opening game strategy are way poorer as compared to others.I also found other users way too passionate about the job,you just seem to take it for granted,as if you are far better than others and think you are an automatic selection.I am sorry to the person who said you seem to be the best out here, but you seem to be the most arrogant here for sure.May be you are good at commentating, but i don't think you have better knowledge about the game than others, nor do you seem to be any die hard fan of challengers.May be you could have applied for some other job.I am sorry to have used strong words, but i felt like saying it.I hope the judges do take all this into account and just don't go for 'self proclamations' !!!!janusharadwonderful to c tat u r one of the leading contenders... i m sure u ll get the next stage quite easily. give ur best shot thr. best of luck...mailjananiGood work. Good stuff! If you like my photos - do vote for me too. http://www.royalchallengers.com/application/Sanyal -PradeepprasseNice profile Kartik definitely you are the chief blogger all the bestShekyKartik is one of the most inquisitive cricketing brains I have come across. Don't go by his blog name 'Katchucrap'; dig deep inside and you get to see lot of interesting stuff on cricket in addition to match previews and reviews. He made it to Harsha ki Khoj and missed out in the end but how does it matter? Doing and failing is far better than not doing at all, as Kartik shows. There cannot be a better fan commentator than him.RAINERhi ,nice ti see ur profile ,i have applied for chief rcb fan .. i hav voted for u , jus give me ur vote ..so dat we can meet on groundRKR16he is an avid commentator and a fantastic blogger.. so he is sure to make waves if given a chance............good luck dude...Rajesh Ravi, MumbaiAvantikaI am sure karthik can do this job in the best way. I am already impressed with his writing skill and cricket knowledge.sudharsansnI am Sudharsan SN. I am a Teaching Assistant with the Canada Institute of Linguistics at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I am also an English novelist - author of 'Time and a Cyclone'. I am not writing this to tell the judges about myself but to put myself in a position worthy of writing a recommendation for Kartik Kannan. I have known Kartik both professionally, and as a friend for over five years now. Kartik is a very enthusiastic and energetic person who is deeply interested, actually, religious about Cricket. He has hosted Cricket blogs for years together and was also one of the finalists of the Clinic All-Clear Dream Job contest in 2008. He has put in years of hard work into writing about Cricket. The best part about him has been the fact that he has been writing about Cricket, especially T-20 Cricket, with artistic passion. It used to be a hobby for him, but now it has become a serious and sincere passion for him. I think Kartik deserves professional recognition for all that hard work and dedication he has put into observing the nuances of the game. What is noteworthy is the fact that he did not just stop with enjoying the game and cheering, like millions of other fans, but went those several extra miles to write about these matches, extensively, and also managing to find himself a place in the Clinic All-Clear Dream Job contest. His in-depth knowledge about Cricket is well evident in his writing and also several audio-blogs he has hosted. I strongly recommend Kartik Kannan for the position of Chief Blogger and I sincerely hope that he gets recognized for his outstanding work in the field of Cricket blogging, something that he truly deserves for his sincere and exceptional work. Please get in touch with me for any further information at my e-mail address which is registered along with my fan club membership. I wish Kartik Kannan and the RCB team all the very best.dhempeKartik is really good in his cricket knowledge and also was one of the finalists in ESPN-Star dream job contest. So he deserves this! |
