I CAN BE RC'S CHIEF BlOGGER BECAUSE..
Being an ardent follower of the game for close to 13 years now, cricket blogs went on to become my obvious fad. My stint with club RCB as a blogger has given me a pre requisite of sorts when it comes to blogging for the team during IPL 2010. As far as my unwavering loyalty towards Royal Challengers Bangalore is concerned, everyone who knows me can vouch for it. Also working on 'Behind the Wall' a fanography by Rahul Dravid fans and the IPL edition of RCB magazine, provides me with the impetus and exposure to cater to the fans' literary tastes. One entity that dominates my style of writing is the realistic approach, a perfect blend of ' practical critiquing' and humour, which I believe opens the door to a wider appreciation. And finally coach Ray Jenning's parting shot during FFC1 "Disha, we do need dedicated fans like you" still ring in my ears, so I might as well vie for my unfinished task and clamoured job as 'Royal Challengers' Chief Blogger. MY STRATEGY FOR ROYAL CHALLENGERS IN IPL 2010
Restricting the opponents early on, which accounts to getting rid of the openers and middle order would definitely be on the cards. An excellent blend of of conventional pace, swing and spin (read Mithun, V Kumar, P Kumar, Steyn, Kumble, Merwe) is a line up other teams would be wary of.
A formidable batting line up, with the likes of Pandey, Dravid, Kallis, Boucher, would garner maximum runs and put up a huge score. Also Taylor's absence for the initial few games, could be well taken care of by the in form 20-20 specialist Cameron White.
It is important to have a positive approach, if Ross does not fire the target can be revised by a negative 15 runs till the 17th over and then if wickets are preserved an onslaught can help achieve a big total. Both Van Der Merve and Praveen Kumar have the ability to wield the long handle and can play the pinch hitters role to the hilt.
With no dearth of class and experience, not depending on a single player and putting up a consistent team performance, would be the key. Also with most of the games in the league stage being played at Bangalore, the home crowd egging them on would only add to RCB's chances of registering a semi final berth. Then on, a pack well mentored by Jennings and ably led by Kumble, would surely emerge victorious in the IPL 2010 finals.
Road to finals...Crowning glory...New champs RCB!

All the best disha i hope u land it this time.I know this is ur biggest dream n i hope u clinch it.she is a great cricket fan and cricket flows thru our veins.an rcb supporter,i should say die hard :)
171 week(s) ago I think her knowledge about cricket surprised everybody at the fanatic fans challenge 1. The competitive spirit in us didn't let us give an inch during the CL T20, as both of us were applying for the same post of a blogger. This time around, its not the same though. Her choice of words and the mix of vocabulary in the right way gives her articles a flavor and that is one aspect which makes her articles stand out and make people sit up and take notice. We were almost neck n neck with the quiz contest last time, which was one of the testing parameters and it was a whole lot of fun. Wishing u all the best this time, and ur dream of being the blogger isn't too far away from being fulfilled. Cheers :)

Everytime RCB wins a game, it is worth checking disha's status online. The anxiety before any game RCB plays is also worth watching. I remember the time when RCB had to wait for other teams results to qualify for semis, i had sent Disha a text about RCBs thin chances. But the reply I got was so innocent and optimistic, that only an ardent fan can give. She follows Bangalore cricket not just for the glamorous T20 matches they play, but also the traditional Ranji games. This is worth appreciating and I feel everytime RCB plays a game their confidence multiplies on knowing that they have supporters like Disha cheering them every minute !!!
Wish you all the best Disha ....

I've known disha since school times and since then she has kept up with her zeal in cricket which like keeps on mounting on and on with each passing moment...I dont need to give any reference...the fact that this headstrong gal had already made her way to the top 27 in the round1 is an applause to her herculean interest in this game-CRICKET....way to go dish...wish you all the luck!!!!beat'em all sweetheart!!
171 week(s) ago I've known Disha since Oct 09 through her FFC1 application. Initially, I thought she is one of those present day college gals 'who all have a fancy for Dravid and Kumble' and feign knowledge of cricket.
As I started following her blogs, my impression of her underwent a gradual change. In the past few months, I have interacted extensively with her on cricket matters and I am amazed at the genuineness of her passion for the game and willingness to go to any lengths to understand its finer aspects.
In particular, her last few blogs have been hugely impressive and insightful - indicating she is a rapid learner - and she comes out as a very mature thinker of the game, way beyond her age. This is reflected in her application too where every word appears to have been carefully selected, making a strong positive impact on the reader.
A part of my admiration and bias for her writing is that it comes close to my own style! A sure cricket writer of tomorrow, I'd love to co-author a book on cricket with her!! If she gives me a chance!!
Disha is an investment RCB shouldn't miss out NOW!
171 week(s) ago All the best Disha.... I'm sure you'll come out on top.
