At first it seemed as if cricket won't let me go,it was other way. Cricket is not just relation between BAT & BALL or game played by 2 nations or teams its about passion.In General cricket is a sport which binds people irrespective of religion,infact it is said "Cricket is religion". Life in cricket field is like dating some one's Girl friend in which we make lot of tricks,plans & dramas,to conquer it rather win it,Over all Cricket is defined as " LOVE FOR GAME " in my prespective. Coming back cricket is virtually played in house which speards across gullies,grounds,parks and stadiums,its played not even played in cities but also in villages. I hail from Bangalore which is Capital of Karnataka,which has great infrastructure for building up cricket as career,the city has many coaching centres,Institutions,schools,It also has NCA ( National Cricket Acadmey )these Acadamies are run by great former players,which gives forms stepping stones for younger players. Yes ! the city has its own IPL team,called ROYAL CHALLENGERS,which has build its own high profilic image in morden cricket era.its been really proud to say the team is lead by our own son of karnataka Anil Kumble,who has lead team 2nd & 3rd place in last two editions IPL ,The team has its home ground called M.CHINNASWAMY STADIUM which is lucky for RCB. The Two important aspects about this Team are they play as if "GAME FOR LIFE" which is there slogan and important is They "Go Green" which provides tip in every single match on how to protect or rather save our envirnoment. We do have die hard fans who can be really fanatic about cricket,also tends to get feverish about RCB,they become insane to see flying shots of ROSS TAYLOR, punches of KALLIS and Rocket ROBIEE who simply fires every ball out of stadium,ya thats RCB's GAME FOR LIFE. RCB fans are very preoccupied,they plan and follow then execute perfectly according to it,for instance they send mail for all RCB fans and they do meet up,living up to words,they also make it even more intresting by uploading meet up photos on web,which makes eager to meet them again. the strong proof ROYAL CHALLENGER fan is there official website which has more than lakh fan.! ! unbeliviable isn't it ? any way thats my part of city cricket.

well to start with i share my own exprience, i was 16,i guess,very keen on leading INDIA,but i was leading my area team with group of 10 guys,we were about to play match agiansts other team with same number of guys.we decided to play 15over match on that evening. The toss took place which i decided to bat first,i was at non stricker end,the first over was bowled by deepak in which my team mate madhu scored 4 runs with hefity boundry,the 2nd over was done by prathik i was on strike the 1st two balls were on body then i cracked 2 fours for next two deliveries the score was 12 for two overs,my team mates insisted to score more runs they infact came on pitch to understand me which irked other side captain for wasting time,probably he was thinking of his batting side,as the game progressed the funniest thing is my fellow team mates came to me saying even i wanna bat which disturbed me on 46,it was 9 overs we were 75 for loss of 2 wickets,while i was on 49 the opposite side captain came to me & said lets reduced overs by 3,we shall make it to 12,so even we can bat,other side my fellow team mates begging for there batting to display,i was baffled whom to apolozie with ? i decided i will score 50 then decided to give up,while on strike of 49 i was again confused to whom to give batting to ? should i concentrate on team or indivduals ? the bowler was Raghu who took up line up,he came looked like countney Walsh who would smash my head with bouncer,but he did,not my head but my wicket ! ! all 16 players were happy,guessing who all 16 ? other team mates,also my fellow team mates whom i was captaining i felt like kicking them really ,it was now 75 for 3,with 3 overs to spare where i was compromised,i did made other person to play for rest overs,told them to score atleast other 25 runs so 100 would be ideal,which they never did,just made 15 so it was 90. so target was 91 from 12 overs with 7.58 run rate were i calculated,we didn't take much time to start other session,i gave ball to my team mate gujju who thinks 2nd wasim akram with reverse swing,finally i came to know his swing with 13 wides in first 3 balls !! really,i mean it !! so it was 20 in first over with couple of no balls,i mentioned to miss.i shouted on him saying dream of bowling another over.i gave bowl to other guy,i told him from midoff hope don't allow them to finish match in this over,he giggled & said,i promise 2 for you,which i didn't even scratch my head for that,infact i was worried about getting run rate under control,but he took 2 wickets as he promised both bowled !! it was 25\2 still runrate double above,i didn't call team mate wasim akram to bowl,i gave to spinner insited him not to give runs,two bowls were normal with 3 runs,there was big striker like TALYOR called dikist who smashed 3 sixes for next three deliveries,so it was 48 for 2 in just 3 overs.almost 50% of runs they scored but actual problem was some of there team mates went off saying they have assigment to complete,some were saying captain will finish game,they were only 5 left with 2 others already out,so we again countined to play,giving ball to playerwho bowled 2nd over,i told him to get next 2,but he did not by taking wickets but by giving 2 fours,which was smashed above mid-on,where we landed up searching that ball,the ball owner was about to cry for his lost piece saying his dad will kick him,finally we landed in getting it up,it was 56\2 in 4 overs.the problem contunied again with my team mates aying i will bowl or else i will go off black mailing captain which works only in my team,all i wanted was to win that game,i called all my mates & said look guys i need to win this game at any cost or else iam not going to take them for next match,some said yes,some said no we can't win lets go home,giving me chance for murdering them. so it was 9th over we managed to pull 4 wickets for 70runs,it was needed 21runs from 18 balls altogether,i decided to ball now it was only wicket away now to win match,where some team mates fleeded away,it was 15 balls,the guy from other side hit above my vice captain head so it was just 17 from 14 balls,finally i didn't get any wicket it was 14 required from 12 balls,with one wicket away. now the suspense builds i called my wasim akram said him,give 12 runs but take one wicket,infact i was on my knees!! he did half what i said,by giving 12 runs but wicket,still dreaming off !! so needed 2 runs from 6 balls.which we virtually lost the match,i remembered Australia verus South Africa match in which Australia won by 1 run in world cup 99,all i wanted the batsman to become Lance Klusner who spoiled South Africa dream,i told all my mates to close in,not to give single run,i decide to bowl last over beliving our's will be lucky team the batsman defended 4 of them,it was 2 from 2.!! i was avoiding all suggestions made by our wasim bhai.! i decided stick to my instincts,the ball just kissed the stumps but it was not not out,so now 2 of 1 ball,again i took master run up,like Brett Lee think i shouldn't bowl wide,my vice said your wide is ready for your grave,i went like fast bowler but bowled like medium pacer where even baby can magnage to hit 6,my asim came behind me & took me to his shoulders before i could realise what happened,in which he took catch,it was like getting biryani for hungry person.finally we won the match while in joyous mood our wasim dashed other side captain,which leads to injury & fight,so we managed to compromise & decided to not to play againsts them,what a silly reason to avoid play.we came home,later wasim who made allegations came to my home said will play tommarrow with them,and i want to give 30 runs this time.!! where i decided to give up my captaincy ! !
