The southpaw from Chennai started his career as a left arm spinner but caught everybody’s attention with his superb batting. In 1999-2000, he became only the third batsman to score more than 1000 runs in domestic cricket for which he was called for national duty. Failing to impress, with below average performances for India, Sriram then joined the Indian Cricket League but quit the league in 2009 to return to mainstream cricket. With the Royal Challengers, Sriram is eager to prove his hunger for runs at the top of the order.
