Does India miss the left-arm pace of Zaheer Khan in ODIs?
78.57 % Defend
21.43 % Attack
“ Zaheer's experience is a handy contributor to the team's success. ”
“ The selectors have to plan for the future. ”
Vidula Menge: Zaheer Khan was India's leading wicket-taker in the 2011 World Cup. His wicket-taking ability and years of expertise can be a guiding light for the younger lot, something that is missing in the current bowling line-up. Now that he's back in shape after an intense fitness regime, it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring him in.
Monish Moorthy: Zaheer Khan is a terrific bowler and has even worked on his fitness recently but at his age he should be preserved for longer formats. We need to groom youngsters for the future and ODIs give them that exposure to International cricket. They will make mistakes but they will also be more aware of their own abilities and confident when they execute new things they pick up, Zaheer will himself testify to the importance of this process.
