2 specialist spinners should be a part of RCB's playing XI this IPL
Though RCB have great T20 specialist pacers in Ravi Rampaul, RP Singh and Pankaj Singh, still playing Kartik Murali as the lone spinner may not prove to be a great idea at all, especially with the likes of Daniel Vettori and Muttiah Muralitharan waiting in the wings. Vettori and Murali are two of the best spinners in modern day cricket and not using their services may prove to be a colossal waste of talent for this RCB side. Both spinners are undoubtedly a class apart from Kartik and can definitely use their combined experience to swing a crucial game in RCB’s favour. So playing either Vettori, Muralitharan or even both along with the specialist pacers may just be the winning formula what RCB require at the current moment!

“ Spin plays a crucial role ”
“ Part timers can always chip in ”
Dhiraj Salian: We have the services of specialist spinners like Murali Kartik, Muttiah Muralitharan and Daniel Vettori. When they bowl in tandem, it's difficult for the opposition to tackle them. As Murali Kartik said recently that slow bowlers are crucial in the T20 format. A good spin attack always comes in handy when the target set is low.
Tania Dey: RCB strengthened it's squad during the auction by picking up RP Singh, Ravi Rampaul, Pankaj Singh and Jaydev Unadkat. We should make full use of our fast bowling prowess. In T20 aggressive fast bowling is what pays off in the end. Fast bowlers have always been among wickets in this format, if we require a second spinner we have options like Dilshan and Chris Gayle.

Instead of experimenting with new players, India should play its well set players in the series ahead of the World Cup.
