“ Early recognition can motivate young cricketers to do better in future ”
“ The domestic grind separates good players from great players ”
Shreya Ganguly: Cricketers playing at the domestic level put in the same effort as those at the national level. It is important to encourage them through rewards and recognition, which will eventually inspire them to work harder as they progress.
Monish Moorthy: Without intense scrutiny and fanfare, players both rookies and international ones get to focus solely on the game in domestic cricket. They have to earn their place in the national squad and the perks.

In australia and england, a lot of importance is given to domestic cricket. That will help bring up more talent. I think india must follow this too..

there are many aspiring cricketers who are maybe even more talented than d present day players an due to lack of recognisition or lack of support aren't able to come up and are forced to quit the game due to peer pressure or family pressure if the domestic cricket is equally given importance and is equally promoted then there is every chance of every player being recognized by the higher authorities and they'll also have the confidence to play better every time they are on field.

If domestic cricket is recognized well, legends like wasim akram, brett lee can know some real good talents and help in their improvization as they are well wishers of talent, let it a player of any country.I dont think that they sit and watch Indian domestic matches.

If the efforts and hardwork of these cricketers go unnoticed, they might feel demotivated. So, that extra push is needed to get the best out of them.

no it should not be as the players are 1st to be filtered by these levels and by this indian cricket can get more polished players

Domestic cricket players can be recognized but not always. At this level the international players are of high standards.

I feel it would be better if the domestic circuit be left alone... Without outside influences the players can grow to be like the greats of the last decade... It is a tried and tested formula... Greats like dravid, sachin, ganguly, have all gone through it.. After passing this they can take the next step... But that is made simple now through the IPL...
