Should Virat Kohli open the innings for RCB along with Chris Gayle?

Virat Kohli was the second highest scorer in IPL 2011 scoring 557 runs. Most of these runs were scored when he was batting at the No. 3 position.He is not a power hitter unlike Gayle and Dilshan he is player with classy shots i think dis factor helps him to score more runs than anyone else in the team during opponents try to have some variation in bowling. According to the opinions received, that Virat Kohli should continue playing at position no. 3.

We've seen their effect on the opposing team - they should open for RCB, it will be a great highlight of the match in itself that Gayle and Virat brought RCB to victory!

Obvi as Monish said ... because if chris and virat both be out before scoring gud scores it'll be a blunder to a gr8 team like RRRR CCCCCC BBBB and also if AB was in the team then no problem ... and if the middle order doesn't play well then its fully gone.!!!

We need Virat in the middle order. I would like to see AUK Pathan being given a chance in the squad and open the innings. Mayank has proved he's worthy of any position. Mayank is a better batsman against spinners. So it'd be ideal if he came in the middle order. Asad Pathan is a slogger and therefore he can at least clear 30 yard circle to clear the fence if he is not able to clear the ropes in every occasion as Gayle

If any of the batsmen gets out and later the other, it will have the team in great danger even if they were the best in IPL 2011. After the beginning match of RCB with Kochi Tuskers Kerala, they lost to Mumbai and Chennai. Gayle wasn't playing at those matches. With only 1 to help the team for a victory.
