DIVA’S GUIDE TO THE COUNTDOWN
14 DAYS BEFORE THE IPL
The kick off to the IPL is about a fortnight away the first thing on your to do list must be to get the schedule down pat. If you are blessed with a photographic memory good on you! But for the rest, who like me who can’t remember what we had for dinner last night, the best way to do this is download the schedule and save it on your smart phones or Use your exam time skills and make a timetable.. Basically do what you need to! Just make sure you don’t ever miss a match..
Here's where you can check out the whole itinerary for RCB games.
10 DAYS BEFORE THE IPL
Now that you have that outta the way comes the hard part! Planning your social schedule around the matches.. You may be the kind that likes watching a match live.. If that’s the case log onto and book your tickets asap.. Remember the sooner you start booking the better your chances of getting the best seats in the house.

7 DAYS BEFORE THE IPL
You’ve figured out what you’re doing for home games.. But what about the away games?? This is the fun part.. it’s time to plan your IPL Party! Pick an away match.. One that involves RCB vs Arch Nemesis (CSK, MI).. Send out invites Facebook is a great way to do this, For an old school feel.. Print out invites and snail mail them! Just make sure you mix your hard core RCB fans with some that haven’t been converted yet.. It keeps the party interesting and it sure is fun fun watching the non-believers slowly turn red, gold and blue by the end of the game!
4 DAYS BEFORE THE IPL
Go shopping!! Yes if its IPL season you have to shop.. You don’t want those cameras catching you in a jersey 5 years old do you?? First thing on your shopping list should be an RCB Jersey- the fits have gotten better and you have a few more sizes to choose from! Get all the stuff you’re gonna need during the season.. Chart paper for those I LOVE ZAHEER POSTERS!, Face paint so that you can flaunt your loyalty.. Nail paint (more on that soon).. Basically anything and everything that shows what a true blue (red and gold) fan you are!
1 DAY BEFORE THE IPL
Take a deep breath, its nearly here.. This day should be dedicated to one thing only.. Getting your cheer on!! Start practising those chants... The decibel level you’re aiming for is ear shattering.. It can be the common AARRRRR CEEEEEEE BEEEEEEEEE or the even more common WEEEEE LOOOOOOVEEEEE YOOOUUUU VIIIIRRRAAATTTTT. But if you like thinking out of the box.. I’d go for something like this..
“ I don’t know but I’ve been told
The best team out there is in Red, Blue and gold”
“ I don’t know but its been said
The champs are wearing red”
(Statutory warning: works better in a crowd, may involve pointing and staring)
Ok maybe not exactly like that, but you get the point!!
So follow these simple guidelines... And you are well on your way to being truly DIVALICIOUS..If you have any more great ideas make sure you share them in the comments section.. Start counting ladies!
