1. What is this?
This is our way of rewarding our active and loyal fans. So if you have been one the active lot since March 2010 and have reason to prove it, apply and cite examples (you must give us links to what you have done only on the site), and wait for the other fans to recommend you. Based on your recommendations the best 3 will win a holiday to South Africa. 2. Who is eligible to participate? a. Only the fanatic fans on the site and only those who have been active since March 2010 until August 25th. b. Only those who have passports - the visa arrangement will be done by RCB. c. Age criteria is that you must be above 18yrs of age. 3. What is the purpose behind this? RCB has figured that it is about time that we rewarded our fans, so here is us showing you how much we value you and looking to reward you for it. Also, the fans will be the judge of who are the three who will win this holiday, so remember to give us your recommendations 4. I have stuff that I have done for RCB but it has no links. If you have done something for RCB, we need to see proof of it. You have to provide us some link to it on the site. If not, you are not eligible to apply. 5. I have links but it is not on RCB site If your links are not on the RCB site, you will not qualify.. We are rewarding the fanatic and active fans on the site. 6. Although you may spend a bit of your time in Johannesburg too! *keep your fingers crossed* We still confirming that. 9. Can we bring along our friends? hahah! it is a contest, only you can win for yourself! If your friend is a fanatic fan, ask him to apply and if he wins he can travel with you. 10. How will the winners be decided? The winners will be decided on the basis of the recommendations that you fans give them. Of course! I will be monitoring the recommendations to make sure that its all fair-play I hope that I have covered all of your questions... If there are anymore, please ask and I will answer them in the comments or will add it to the blog post. Royal Send Off: creating and sending gifts ends today, but hey! guess what...
The Royal Send Off in Bangalore will only happen on the 4th of September, which leaves you much more time to collect votes. So now, instead of the voting ending today, we have extended it to the 1st of September. Although the votes are anonymous you can still ask your friend to go take the trouble and find your gift and vote for you. And I will see the top 50 of you in Bangalore!! We have noticed a lot of squabbling on the site lately
Sure we all know that everyone is super-passionate about the team, but we hope you will keep your passions under control and not let the discussion drift outside cricket & RCB. We will not tolerate personal attacks and/or attempts to portray the club in a parochial manner We are putting in place a revised code of conduct document, and for those members who are found violating the same, will be warned and/or have their privileges withdrawn temporarily Let the fan club remain a place that everyone intends to come share their passion with other fans they have in common. Let us all maintain a conscious effort to let this club be hospitable to any fan who has come here for the first time. Today was the India vs. New Zealand match is on & India sure is doing a great job at making a mess.. :(
What I am concentrating on this match though is how players from one team are today against each other and it is so weird to see especially because I root for them as a team and today they just Indians are New Zealanders. Anyhow, although India did a pretty bad job at this match it was quite refreshing to see a huge chunk of India's score come through from Virendra Sehwag (a Delhi Daredevil player) - who I am very glad RCB will not be facing this CLT20 in South Africa with the way he was playing today. Phew! but his team work coupled with MS Dhoni's efforts (who unfortunately we are going to be facing :/) Our RCBians Praveen Kumar & Virat Kohli did not exactly help too much with India's restricted score of 223 but we are hoping that Praveen will take India to victory with his bowling and show us a glimpse of how they will be playing at the CLT20. Man! watching these matches and our RCBians play sure makes me nervous of how they will play at the CLT20 in South Africa. But our Royal Send Off sure will be a motivator for them, reminding them of the fans they have back home looking up to them, waiting for them to bring home the cup. COMMUNITY MANAGERS
