This is a very exciting Karnataka team.After a gap of about a decade or so,we seem to be getting together a very capable outfit which according to me,has the potential to be a champion team for a long while.This has been the essence of Karnataka cricket.Whenever we had some talented youngsters,we have done well for a while on the domestic circuit.Those talented players have gone on to represent India with unparallelled success.I am very confident that in due course of time,you will see this team accomplish great things and,produce some match-winners for India.But the XI for the first game against Punjab would most probably be(in the same order):

For an Indian domestic team,mark me,this is a real quality one.Watch out for K L Rahul,who is a technically correct batsman.He is one of future India prospects in this team.It seems Dravid rates him quite highly.We also have quite a few all-rounders in the squad announced-Stuart Binny,Sunil Raju,Aditya Sagar.There is also a spinner in the form of Udit Patel.I can think of probably one change being made to the XI that I have mentioned,an all-rounder in the place of a middle order batsman,depending on the pitch conditions.Fingers crossed,this team should start winning tournaments.
