well we cant blame the players .
the selection was terrible.they shouldn’t have experimented with the players in such an important match on a single day. but mistakes do happen sometimes. we cant blame anyone . appanna bowled beautifully.kallis played quite well but his strike rate was slow.ross taylor was quite good. cameron white shouldnt have batted up the order. in my point of view the next match squad should be somewhat like this

6. Virat Kohli

this squad could be good because there are now 6 specialist bowlers. so there is no need to experiment with part time bowlers. and 6 batsmen is more than enough. the tail enders will rarely need to bat because it is only 20 overs. and there is an awesome batting line up  

Considering the kind of batting line up we have, and also considering the fact that we’ll be batting just 20 overs, I think there’s enough batting in the playing eleven i mentioned to hold up one end, while the batsman from the other end try to go for their shots.

In any case, a pattern i’ve noted with RCB right from the 1st IPL is that, the moment we start making too many changes in the team, we tend to lose momentum. We played an unchanged eleven for 4 matches last month, and won all four. I don’t understand why we tinkered with our opening combination yesterday. 56/1 in 10 overs was unpardonable last night.

Having said that, we need to win at least 3 out of the remaining 5 matches to ensure a semi final berth. Win or loss, I’m with RCB forever!!!!!!!! I only hope we seal our semi-final slot ASAP so that i’ll know if I have to buy the tickets for the 22nd or the 23rd of Apr!!!

Where is Rahul Dravid….
Rahul Dravid should be batting up the order .....
I dont understand why is he made to bat at 7 ...
He was the one who stabilized the batting when RCB was on a winning streak in IPL2..
He was the one who played the anchor role in the win against CSK in semis of IPL2 ....
He truly deserves to bat at 3 or 4

ya thats true .... DRAVID should bat up the order..he is a very classy player n knows how 2 play at the right situation….these people are making a blunder by sending him in the 7th position ...i still dont understand as to why they took out Manish Pandey .....he is playing soo well and yet they took him out of the match….hope they win the rest of the matches ....

dravid n pandey should open ...others guys in team should be uttapa,ross,kp,white,kohli,kumble,praveen,dale,vinay…kallis should be rested he is not able to clear boundry n he is giving very slow start that is very bad in t20 spl while chasing coz req run rate will increase rapidly…so his 4 overs can be bowled by kp(2)&kohli;(2) n white also can bowl if guided by kumble…so no Kallis sometimes i feel he is plying to prove something n is playing for orange cap…..

let me tell you one more thing. kallis is always consistent . no matter what the situation is. his strike rate is not high because it has been already planned before the game that he’ll play his natural game and the guy at opposite side will take the risks. so this will help preventing the fall of wickets continuosly. rahul got two three chances to prove but he didnot

sunil’s dream squad is good.  but the problem is there are exact 5 bowlers .  and if one or two bowlers bowl cheaply. the opposition might get a big total. which might make it tough for the team. so thats the reason i took 6 bowlers

Dravid should open with kallis with Pandey No. 4, No. 3 should be Kevin, and No. 5 should be ross taylor

pandey and kallis had the best opening partnership in ipl3 . why change when we are doing good. I dont have any problem if rcb wins or lose. I just want them to give their 100% in the field.

why not give players lik sriram and bhuvanesh kumar a chance in place of dravid…dravid is a great batman but the he cant keep up the pace of t20 cricket nd wen we need to score wid a high run rate we cannot rely on him ...so giving these youngsters a chance is good idea….pandey should replace mithun coz he is vital…morgan shud replace kp and steyn should replace white.

I tend to agree with Bilal’s final eleven, except maybe one or two names.

Frankly, I’m baffled at the changes we made to the team for the match against Delhi Daredevils. What was the need to tinker with the opening combination? Manish Pandey must be asking himself what wrong he’s done to sit out, in spite of showing good form and providing impetus every innings as an opener. Sending White as opener is really a perplexing move. He’s perfect for No.3.

We’ve stopped winning matches since the day we started making too many changes to the team. Yesterday’s was a crucial match and the loss last night means we need to win at least 3 out of the remaining 5 matches to make sure we make it to semis. My ideal playing Eleven would be:

3) K.Pietersen
4) R.Uthappa
5) R.Taylor
6) V.Kohli
7) Vinay Kumar

As far as Dravid’s inclusion is concerned - No one is forgetting the legend called Dravid. He will be mentioned in cricketing history books as a hero forever.

But, my point is - NO ONE IS BIGGER THAN THE GAME ITSELF. Based on current form and available team options, it’s better if we play the same winning Eleven that’s winning RCB its’ matches. Period!!

Would you rather have Dravid score 50 runs off 30 balls and RCB lose the match or have a Kallis score 65 off 53 balls and RCB win the match? I mean ... c’mon man…look at it realistically!!

Believe me, if only Dravid could answer this question himself, I’m sure he’d say as long as the team has a winning combination and is winning all matches, he’d rather be part of a winning team and not play, than play for the team and impact its’ balance. Get my point?

And yet again……Dravid is one of my favorite sports persons. I met him when I was in still in school during an India - England test match series. Had the opportunity to shake hands with him. I didn’t wash my hands for about 2-3 days after that just because Dravid had touched it. No Kidding!!!

Point being…...keep the team first, my brother .... ALWAYS ...... then come the soldiers!!!!!!!
