The Pakistan Cricket Board has taken the most daring decision seen in cricket against many of it’s star players.  The PCB has sacked, banned and fined heavily seven of it’s top senior players.  Among the players to face the guillotine from PCB are former captains Younus Khan and Mohammad Yousuf - both of whom have been banned for life.  The other players to face the sword are Shoaib Malik and Rana Naved-ul-Hasan - who have been banned for a year while Shahid Afridi and the Akmal brothers (Umar and Kamran) are fined Rs. 2-3 million ($24,000-35,000).

Friends, it certainly is a great feeling to have been one of the finalists of FFC2.

On Saturday the 6th of March 2010, on eve of the IPL 2010 season starting within a week’s time, Royal Challengers Bangalore became the 1st IPL team to take its Kings club members on an exclusive tour of the home stadium. A crowd of over 70 people were taken across the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore giving them an insider look of the stadium including the facilities for the players and the spectators alike. The following pictures show some amazing similarities between cricket players and some famous personality.  Seeing the pictures one is left to wonder, whether the people in the pictures are twins separated at birth. 

Fanaticism was the word reverberating around the KSCA pavillion end at Chinnaswamy Stadium on March 3rd and I must say I was privileged to be there. I kept tumbling and twisting in the bed the previous night as if I was back in college. Ask how ? I used to play for my college team in the top order and whenever we had a match the next day I never used to get sleep. Pre-match nervous energy well I wonder how the international players feel then . This time it was the thought of meeting Anil Kumble my hero.

Former English skipper Micheal Vaughan has lashed out yet again against the massive influx of South Africans into the English cricket scene.  Vaughan said, “It’s very, very difficult to stop them (South African players). I would like to see, in an ideal world, 11 complete Englishmen in the team but I don’t think that’s ever going to be the case.”, getting the entire cricketing fraternity debating.
