264* NOT OUT
Jacques Kallis a star All Rounder from South Africa a Royal Challenger in IPL is been putting up a royal challenge in front of the oppositions as he is still to be dismissed in the 2010 edition of IPL
264 Not out
IPL 2010 till now everything has gone
in favour of Royal challengers Bangalore, which stood at number 1 position in
points table with 6 points after a Hatrick of Wins, in their last 3 matches
But for that we should credit our star
opener Jacques Kallis the invincible Tiger from
South Africa, who after opening the batting in four Matches for RCB is still to
be beaten, yes he is the man who remain NOT OUT* on all the occasions he came
out to bat in IPL season 2010, and no bowler yet has found himself able to find
better of this man. He had scored a total of 264 runs in four
matches (without any average though) more than any other batsmen in the
tournament, and proudly calls himself “Orange Cap” holder which is given to
the leading run scorer of the tournament.
Following is the
performance data of Jacques kallis in 4 matches played by RCB :-
Bangalore v/s KKRiders:- Here Jacques Kallis was the only man
who stands upfront to get RCB to a respectable total of 135, after they
struggle once at 35/4, in which his contribution was of 65* runs but even that
was not enough to save RCB from a defeat against the KKRiders.
Bangalore v/s Kings XI Punjab :- In this match kings XI Punjab
batting first with the likes of Ravi Bopara (77) and Manvinder
Bisla(75) put a mammoth total of 203/3 in front of Royal Challengers Bangalore.
But he was ready to face this challenge and when came out to bat put up an
opening partnership of 70+ with Young Manish Pandey and then with the help of a
blistering knock by Robin Uthappa of 50 from just 19 deliveries, Jacques Kallis
see his team home and help RCB to register their very first win in the season.
Jacques Kallis scored 89* in this match and anchor the chase for his team by
staying in the at the crease till the winning run scored, and RC wins this game
comprehensively by 8 wickets and 7 balls to spare.
Bangalore v/s Rajasthan royals :- In last season i.e
2009 IPL RCB played their very first match against this team and Royals from
Rajasthan were bundled out for just 58 thanks to Anil Kumble’s 5-5. This time
too the Royals from Rajasthan struggled against the Royal challenge of
Bangalore and were all out for just 92, giving a target of just 93 to chase
down, so what.. Kallis as always was ready and this time he took his team home
with a 10 wicket victory. Could it be better?
In this match Kallis Scored NOT OUT 44.
Bangalore v/s Mumbai Indians :- Mumbai Indians a well balanced
team lead by the master himself Sachin Tendulkar and also was on a role after
winning their first two games and that too comprehensively. It was a challenge
for The Royal Challenger bowlers to get better off the strong batting line up
of Mumbai Indian as they had scored a 200+ total in both of their matches
played till then, and again against Royal Challengers they won the toss and
elected to bat first but what an amazing display of bowling it was from RC
bowlers specially Vinay Kumar who sent three of their all important batsmen
back to the pavilion in one Over which also includes the wicket of Sachin
Tendulkar and the score board which shows the score
of 71/3 was all of a sudden was showing it as 76/6. In the end they put up a total
of 151 on the board. And again Kallis took the charge and remains Not Out yet again and sees Royal
Challengers home, with 152 for 3 in 19.1 overs. This time he scored 66* and RC
won this game by 7 wickets
In all above four matches played Kallis faced
a total of 196 deliveries and smashed 32
boundaries with 6 sixes with a Strike
rate of 134.69 of them to get to his 264*
and his team at the top of the table. Actually not only with the Bat but
this man is also proving himself useful with the Bowl as till
now he has bagged 4 crucial wickets too, and against Rajasthan
royals he took 2/20 in his 4, a superb performance, to
restrict them only to 92/10
So hoping for the best, that he will
keep continuing his superb form in the upcoming matches as well, and will keep
giving the RC Fans and the Team good reasons to celebrate after every match, I
will wish him a very good luck for the future.
