A 'must not remember' game

It is saddening to see our team lose the opening game of our journey towards winning the IPL. It was a game when everything went wrong for us.

Right from the time we lost the toss, nothing went right for RC in this game. It was the opening game of our IPL quest and one would have definitely wanted a better outcome than this. Once we lost too many wickets right at the start of the inning, it was always going to be tough to post a decent total. Even then, if we had managed a good partnership, like the one that Matthews and Owais Shah had put up for KKR two days back, we could have come back. Credit goes to KKR bowlers for maintaining the pressure and not giving any freebies to our batsmen.

There are a lot of things to work on, which I am sure our coach and captain would sort out before the next game, however, I would like to say something to fellow fans.

It's not that the ridiculous shots didn't disappoint me or the loss is not going to haunt me tonight, however, how can we even start behaving as if our belief in today's XI or AK's captaincy has been shaken?

It's true that the captain might have arguably made errors and the shots shouldn't have been there in the first place, however, at the same time, it is just a case of miscalculations, wrong approach and certainly not a case of lack of talent or leadership skills.

Instead of writing comments, which might criticize our team unfairly, we need to talk about things which went wrong today and what should be done in order to get a desired result in our next outing.

It's still one game out of fourteen and we have the time as well as the skills to make it RCB's best IPL campaign till date.

I love RC and love you all,
