First UP - Team Royal Challengers Bangalore
We will win CLT20 hands down, If I'm a part of the cheering team or not, RCB is the team I'm backing.
If you happen to see a similar poster somewhere in the stands, that's probably me!
At number 2 - Who better than the Captain Anil Kumble
I call this man the 19 year old for the amount of excitement he gets after picking each wicket. At a stage where he has the most number of wickets by an Indian, one can still see the passion after every wicket. Be it of a top order batsman or number 11.
Now I welcome My favorite player of the team - Rahul Dravid
The wall as he is popularly called, has now additional responsibility of taking the team to T20 glory. A win in this tournament could mean a lot to his team and most importantly his career as he is been simply written off as a test player! He has the skill and RCB is helping him prove it.
Next up - Team's best all rounder - Jaques Kallis
Hard to keep this man out of the team. He's also one of the most experienced all rounders in world cricket right now. After having served for SouthAfrica for a number of years, This man brings his batting and bowling abilities to RCB. He's the better opener than any other player in the team, specially when Rahul is available to anchor the team's inning
What Next? I'm going to go with Ross Taylor
I call him the GOTO man for his ability to both anchor the inning, and change gears when needed. Batting at No.4, this man brings stability to the team. His excellent fielding skills are an added advantage.
Presenting VD Merwe
The Nut - More because of his unpredictability with the bat and the ball. Exceptional in the field and a great spinning ability with the ball, VD Merwe becomes the most important member of the team. I like him!
Who's my keeper? Mark Boucher
You need a specialist in this position, and Mark is experienced! An alternate keeper could leak runs. If I were the captain, I would have him in the team even if he cannot score runs.
Alternate Keeper - Robin Uttapa
I think he should play in the team more as a batsman than a keeper, if Mark is injured, Robin can always replace him. When in form he could play the murderer kind of innings!
Next up - The Fiery fast bowler - Dale Steyn
Raw pace is what he delivers! Give him seaming conditions and he'll take a lot of wickets. Giving him good batting conditions and he will still pick a lot of wickets!
The Alternate Opener - Jesse Ryder
I call him an alternate because with Uttapa and Kallis opening the innings and the kind of middle order batsmen to follow, It's hard to find a place for this man. But nevertheless, He's the best hitter we've got, even better than Uttapa and VD Merwe!
This is not the playing order I'm suggesting, but like i have already said, this is how i look at the players of RCB! The reason why other players don't feature in this post is not because there aren't worth a spot, but that is probably because my home computer is broken down, and this slow computer at an internet center isn't helping the cause. All these player profiles were made at my work place after putting through 4 hours in overtime. So I'm sure you'll see the lighter side of things and spare me the beating!
I could have made a number of mistakes with the grammar, and that's probably because I don't have enough time to relook at everything. Uploading the photos with a slow internet connection takes a lot of time! Wish me luck guys, being in the top 27 and an opportunity to meet ANIL KUMBLE is itself a win-win situation. I take this opportunity to thank all the organizers and fans who voted for me.
I hope the organizers collect these photos and show them to the panel! Some other stuff I can do to contribute to the online community is created animated GIF's, here's one i created for my blog!
