A Day when Nothing gone right for RC

very poor performance by all the Royal Challenger players. RC has lost the Match in the first 6 overs. no batsman performed to their reputation. Only Kallis played some shots & remain unbeaten. Dravid & Uthappa started well but not capitalised on it in the end 135 is not a score to trouble the KKR. In the Bowling Praveen Kumar & Anil Kumble Bowled well but others not.

I think for the next match RC should change their Batting order, and hope they will perform well in the next match..

Tough luck for RCB.I think team in a urge to put up a large total lost quick wickets. Thanks to Kallis who held yhe innings together.Bowling and fielding was also not up to the mark .After all its first match .Sure RCB will be back with bang with their first match in Bangalore on tuesday.

Yes its a bad day, but to say nothing gone right for the team may be an overreaction. The team rightly tested the abilities of the youngsters at the top of the order giving them different roles. It was that sort of a day when things went bad in combination. Yet, Kallis batted at a strike rate of 125, which means that, if Pandey, Kohli and other stikers had a good day, RCB could have been right on top since they can score quicker than Kallis. Praveen, Roelof and Anil bowled very well but the low total tied them down. Yes, in Indian conditions, the bowling of Steyn and Kallis is not going to be effective. Anil's strategy in the batting order was excellent - since the experienced Kallis was on one end, Anil kept sending the young strikers, keeping Dravid back. Full marks for team strategy, sadly the batting didnt click. It will. Mark my words, RCB is a team with many winners, just hoping that they will click in a majority. This year the competition is much tougher as KKR and MIs have shown already. No pushovers anymore.
One change that will be needed on most pitches is not to rely on fast bowlers - faster they bowl, quicker they disappear on these conditions.
When young Steve Smith arrives, we will do well to play him in Steyn's place and go with 3 spin strategy. he is a great fielder too. We should start using Kohli & Uthappa's medium pacers for a total of 4 overs - see how Sachin used our own R.Sathish to do this task so well!!!
Next 2 matches in Bangalore - so fans, have a ball.

ya thats a bad day. Bad luck for RCB....
The dismissals of Manish,Dravid shows that and the top edges of KKR were falling in no man's land for boundary....
Steyn should have been given the second over and Dravid should have been sent at no 4. Kohli did not play the sensible innings. His thinking of going over the top within the powerplay was wrong in that situation.... So Dravid is always the best in that position....
