Champion India U-19 Team crushes Australia U-19 Team &  Brings Home the World Cup   ! ! !

The young heroes of India playing the World Cup U-19 finals against Australia who had never lost a World cup final before got glory to the county by defeating Australia in U-19 World Cup finals.

The World Cup final was being played at the Tony Ireland Stadium,Townsville.

The match began as India U-19 players walked on to the
field as they had 100 overs to cross the barrier and either achieve the
success or leave it aside and gift it to Australia U-19 Team.

Everyone atleast knew that this time around
it would not be a one sides affair and the game was being closely
watched by one and all. Opening bowler Shandeep Sharma who has been a
find of the tournament gave India a much needed start and bowled a lovely delivery swinging in from outside the off stump and bowled Australian opener Pierson for a duck. This gave a moral boost up to the entire team and rose the confidence level of the entire unit very high. India had good control of the game till the 12th over as Australia were down to 38-4.

Australian U-19 captain Bosisto played a much needed innings for the team as he had been doing through the series and made 87 runs as he remained unbeaten on 87 till the end as his team mates TM Head(37) and AJ Turner(43) gave a notable performances as Australia U-19 went on to score 225 runs. Sandeep Sharma was the pick of the bowlers taking up a 4 wicket haul in the World Cup finals.

Whatever target any team would get chasing in a finals that too of a World Cup is always a difficult task to achieve which many teams have failed to do so as India’s opener Chopra fell for a duck bringing in key batsman Baba Aparajith who joined captain Unmukt Chand. Captain Chand was having loads of hopes in his partner Aparajith as he was not disappointed as a very good partnership of 73 runs was added between the two till the 15th over when the unwanted happened as Aparajith was out on 33 c Turner b Sandhu.

Whatsoever the target would be, for any team chasing in a finals that too of a

happened as Aparajith was out on 88 c Turner b Sandhu. As Aparajith, Chand lost partners in the form of Vihari(4) and Vijay Zol(1) in the span of 8 overs as he kept the scoreboard ticking through his variety of shots.

Wicket Keeper SK Patel came into the crease at 97-4 as many thought that there was only 50-50 chance left now after India holded the edge at the start. From thereon it was nothing but the batting gear switched to the top as top class and highest level of cricket was played by India U-19 Chand and Patel who drove who cut who pulled who rotated strikes to steal singles and doubles and the confidence level of Aussie bowlers were bought down. Chand reached his 100 and very soon along with his partner Patel scripted a victory what was not thought by many that it would be achieved and in the end India U-19 team defeat the Aussies notched up a sensational victory and took home the World Cup. That was a fantastic performance by the team as Captain Chand remained 111 not out and Patel was 62 not out as the World Cup was ours.

Sandeep Sharma was the pick of the bowler,  taking up a 4
wicket haul in the World Cup finals.
