Clash of titans

It’s always good to start with a winning feel, and both the heavy weights who indulge in a face off this evening are coming in with a victory in their kitty. Mumbai Indians made short work of Daredevils who look to be the weakest side on paper. In a rather contrasting win our boys beat the kochi team in a last ditch effort from AB..All of that will be forgotten..The only aim of both the teams will be to continue their winning streak and hit a purple patch as the tournament progresses.

With tendulkar in sublime form and mallinga wrecking havoc against batting line-ups it’s natural that RCB will be wary of the evening...but with the crowd rallying behind them, they will be a tough side to beat.

On paper we look like the team who will take the back seat in terms of the popularity of players going into the contest. In my view this will only add to the pressure of the men from Mumbai. Here’s a look at some of the mouth watering propositions that the match promises

Harbhajan and Symo playing for the same team

Ever since the strong Australian bloke was shunted from international cricket due to his “bad-boy” image symo has played literally no cricket except for one or two occasional matches for the Queensland bulls   .He will be itching to get into the groove. The famous monkey gate scandal will come back to haunt him when he dons the blue along with the turbanator .Given that Tendualkar was the mediator during the hearing, his presence will be the key in ensuring that there is no love lost between.

Dilahan VS Mallinga

If controlling traffic in Indian cities is tough, draping a sari seems equally tough.Given the calibre of these two individuals “game changers”, who know the ins and outs of each other’s game, it sure is a battle to watch out for. Will the cherry listen to mallinga’s tunes and knock off the stumps from the ground or will the cherry be sent out of the park by dilshan’s blade is a question time will answer in a few moments from now.All we can do is till then is wait and pray that the sari dilshan dons today will be a gorgeous one :P

Sachin tendulkar VS Zaheer khan

Just a few days ago they were the mainstay of the Indian batting and bowling line-ups respectively. In a rather strange match up they find themselves being pitted against each other just after a fabulous world cup win, with absolutely no breathing space. “God” will try to ensure his blade will do the talking while zaheer will look to break through the defences and hit the sticks.

Pollard VS Vettori

The big fella from the Caribbean is known for his power hitting. While our skipper is known to be a cool customer who can beat the batsmen in his flight and keep him guessing. It is to be seen if pollard will take the bull by the horns or if vettori will guide the big man towards his dressing room.

Mayank agarwal will look forward to fill in the void left by pandey in the RCB’s opening slot.Nannes will want to prove that the match against kochi was just a bad dream on home turf, asad khan pathan will look to cement his place in the RCB XI,kholi will look to make the crowd go “AAARRR CHHEEEE BEE”AB will want to continue the good work, mithun will want to prove a thing or two about his bowling.

The players in blue will also have their intent. We aint interested in them are we??Fasten your seat belts..Here comes the match!!

Hope we end up on top.
