Dirk Peter Nannes (born 16 May 1976) is a Dutch Australian Cricketer A left-arm fast bowler, he plays for the Australian team, the Victoria Bushrangers, the RCB in the IPL 2011 and Fitzroy-Doncaster in Victorian club cricket.
Bought by RCB @ $650000 at the IPL 4 auction . Serves as a best opening bowling attack with Zaheer khan.... he was not tested yet in the RCB since he played his only T20 in the IPL and cdnt continue due to injury... his comeback will Help RCB to restrict the oppenents to a defeatable total.4 valuble overs to dirk 2 at first start of the pplay and 2 at the end of play 17 and 19 th ovr will giv a break through for RCB.
In a strange turn of events, Nannes was called up to the Australian T20I
team in August 2009, just two months after making his debut for the
Netherlands. A ODIdebut followed that same month where Nannes picked up 1/20 against Scotland. Nannes played for Australia in the 2010 ICC WORLD T20 in the West Indies; Nannes played against Pakistan on 2 May 2010 at St lucia
and he took 3 wickets for 41 runs in his allocated overs, he was
unbeaten batting for 0 runs facing one ball. He also played against
Bangladesh on 5 May at Barbados and he took 4 wickets for 18 runs in his
allocated overs, he did not bat.
He bagged highest number of wickets in
the T20 World Cup in 2010 with 14 wickets at 13.07
This untiring Fast bowler made Glenn Mcgrath to sit on the bench when he was contracted by the Delhi dare devils for the previous seasons....
