Comprehensive!
We needed one huge win or two wins. And one win huge win it was! We are almost assured a semis berth (yes, theres a remote chance we can be knocked out. esp thanks to csk's thumping win), and the remaining matches will decide where we land up.
We continued to make changes even at the business end of the tournament, But it all looks fine if it works :)
Looks like KP will retain number 3 spot, esp since he has indicated it in public, So RD will make way to the not so useful position again. Nevertheless he's a great asset to the team wherever he plays. And if KP plays the way he played today. Who is going to mind!
KP , Kohli incidence wasn't sweet. Doesn't suit our team actually! It sounder more of a DD/Kings affair. But guess the've put it behind them. And i don't think it has affected a lot in run rate. I hope not!
Mumbai is assured the top spot irrespective of the remaining results. If we win against MI we will most likely endup 2nd or 3rd. And if we lose its too complicated to put in words. . But in one word: NRR
The most likely semi finalist are MI RCB CSK and (DC or DD). RR, KKR need magic. RCB and CSK are almost in thanks to their run rate.
My favorite opposition for for the semi final spot would be in that order:
DC : We've lost to them twice, but in both occasions we were dominant almost throughout.
MI: This ones a gamble. If SRT clicks we will have to pack up. If he doesn't MI is more vulnerable than DC. Of course Pollard has struck form in absolutely right time.
DD: Out of sorts. But has so many amazing strikers. The last match read (Warner, Sehwag, Gambhir, ABD, Colllingwood, Karthik) That line up can kill. Besides the've beaten us twice.
CSK: With Bollinger coming in. And Vijay, Raina in fabulous form. If Dhoni /Hayden click thats another trouble. Unfortunately CSK is our most likely semifinalist. But its too early to say anyway.
