The FFC3 finalists have been short-listed, but, ..
My dear friends and fellow RCBians,
The names of final 21 people, who will be auditioning on the 16th for the coveted titles, were announced last evening. Ever since the result has come out, there has been pandemonium on the site. A lot of people have criticized the judgment and disagreed to the list of chosen people.
However, I would only like to bring to everyone's notice, the very basic reason for us to be here. We are here because we love RCB.
Contests are very lucrative and fiercely fought. Everyone wants to win and everyone believes in his/her superiority. Even I do. That said, it doesn't mean that winning or losing a contest should make a difference to our lives.
Last evening, one of the finalists said to me on the chat "I hope you still continue to be an RCB fan!"
I was an RCB fan before I joined this site and even if I have to move away from the fan club (though, I am sure I would never face such a situation), I shall still follow RCB.
In my belief, this fan club is a medium to get together, to share our common passion and to discuss things with other like-minded people. Our loyalty is to our team and the attractions on the website are just 'added attractions', not the central attraction for us.
The community managers are also human, they had scores of applications to deal with. Most of them were not upto the mark, but, they had to judge each one. It's not that I agree or feel happy about the short-list. I certainly don't.
However, it shouldn't mean that I create chaos or stop being an active member of the fan club. We are, but, one large group or you can say one large family. There are disagreements, arguments and minor tussles in all big groups and so is the case in this fan club.
If for any reason, A thinks that B is not loyal or good enough for something, let it be. Everyone is human and has his/her right to like or dislike people. Nobody is above human fallacies.
Let's continue the good work and not criticize the site management.

Re: players on site.... no can do buddy. Some are on Twitter.... but I don't think they have the time to be online... we've started by getting them involved at fan contests and during live chats during matches... let's see what more we can convince them to do :P I'll ask Robbie at FFC3 auditions if I get the chance mmkay?
Thanks for replying :)
I strongly believe that the forum should be much more active and there should be more in terms of discussions etc. I guess, it is something that can develop only with the fan participation.
Nidhi has given an answer to you so I need not say anything in the matter. As I had said earlier, once you put a comment in response to my blog, it will be noticed by the site management.
Sherlock Nidhi is keeping an eye on all that happens here :)
