Dilshan slams Ton in England against Middlesex
RCB player Dilshan scored a brilliant Ton against Middlesex in England in a Practise Match.
After finishing of IPL in style during his last few games Tillakaratne Dilshan returned back to his National Duties being appointed as Sri Lanka's Captain. Playing in the Practise match against Middlesex, The Royal Challengers Bangalore player who showed good form in IPL took it over from there. As Sri Lankans were fielding first, the RCB player captained his side perfectly well. He bowled 6 magnificent overs giving away just 13 runs taking a maiden too, at economy rate of 2.13 rpo.
When he came in to bat he looked rock solid. He was in a form such that as if no one could stop him from batting well and he did just that. He timed the balls to near perfection and was going strong. He did not bother if its a Test match Practise game or an ODI. He maintained his strike rate to nearly a run a ball and carted and thrashed away the bowlers all over the park. He reached his hundred and remained unbeaten at 123 runs of just 134 balls scoring 14 cracking Fours and a big bang Six. None of the bowlers managed to get him out and in order to give Batting Practise to others he became retired out. Even in the 2nd Innings of the match, he showed his class. Even though there was nothing left for him to score as he came to bat lower down he scored 22 runs of just 23 balls taking his tam to victory and going high in confidence in the series with remaining matches to come.
Dilshan will surely be missed for RCB in this IPl for remaining games as he was a very good asset for RCB, and we wish him Good Luck for the future and are waiting too see him play in Champions League as well as for in next season for RCB.
