Dilshan’s Magnificient Ton misses Double by 7 runs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore player Tillakaratne Dilshan seems to be enjoying his captaincy and batting in England.

In the 2nd test Match between Sri-Lanka and England after the English Team
scored 486 runs batting first as the Lankan bowlers toiled hard to
beat the English batsmen. Dilshan too bowled well sending down 7 overs and
giving away just 30 runs.

When Sri Lanka
started their chase, Dilshan opened as usual with Paranavitana, who has gained
a lot of confidence by Dilshan in his batting and is also giving consistent
performances for the Lankan Team. Dilshan began batting very very confidently
and left no room for error. He defended when needed and punished the bad balls
directly to the fence. Dilshan and his opening partner Paranavitana
complimented each other very well as they gave Lankans an opening stand of
brilliant 207 runs. Paranavitana departed for 65 runs but Dilshan stayed on as
he wanted to score something really big. Dilshan was in full mood and his timings
too wear simply perfect.

Another good partnership was going on for Dilshan with Sangakkara but the
later fell for 26 runs.None of the England bowlers looked like getting
Dilshan out. Tillakaratne Dilshan had scored a superb century and he was
hungry for more. He ended up making superlative 193 runs scoring 20 Fours and 2
Sixes as he got bowled out by Finn leaving Sri Lankan into a strong position in
this test match at 372/3.
 His
performances are really doing good for Lankan Cricket and I am sure he is going
to carry on this performance in the Champions League 2011
as well as in upcoming
seasons of IPL for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
