Dravid Fan..Who??

For all those who thought FFC3 auditions were over on Monday, it was far from over for me.

After being interviewed by Dravid in Bangalore, I had to face a volley of queries by RCB'ian Abhimanyu Mithun (albeit virtually via chat). He had been following the FFC3 proceeds on our website and congratulated all of them.

And having known how star struck I was after being chosen as the Chief Blogger by my idol, 'Dravid Sir' (as Mithun addresses him) he tried to gauge my 'Dravid Fanatic quotient'.

Hurling a bouncer at me he asked "What's that thing about Dravid Sir that has changed in 14 years??"

So here's one to all Dravid Fans..Do drop in your answers as comments. I'll be revealing the Answer by tonight. Till then keep guessing.

Hint: Mithun has an eye for small details.

P.S. Unfortunately I couldn't get this right :P

Well I think Rahul Dravid(RD) used some other label before he started using Brittania. With this thought, I spent nearly an hour at various sites to collect the info about his bat labels, at last I think I have succedded :)
Here's the link: http://www.rediff.com/sports/may/30a.htm

look at the last thumbnail shown in the near end of the article. It shows RD holding a bat with Wills Label!

@ Raghunath, Thanks a lot for giving me the address of RD's upcoming residence, it will come in handy :)

@Disha: Thanks, So got it right in the second try. It's the only thing that has changed...Dravid Sir's Physical, Mental and of course, Technical Attributes haven't changed at all. He is one of the greatest cricketers to have played the game, and an epitome of grace, humility and commitment to his team's cause. Hat's Off
@Mithun Sir: Thanks a Lot ! Just a humble follower following a very Humble Crickter.

@amoghavarsha-padiwal

The story (or 'news') I have heard about Dravid's house is that his 'Gated Community Bungalow' is under construction near Logica CMG's office on Airport Road (Divyashree Technopolis).

If you wanna send a Greeting Card/Post Card/"Gift", I'm pretty sure it will reach him! Don't forget PIN Code 560037

Not today ... I guess it is many months away!
Raghunath on 18 Aug 2010, 10:31 PM
@Raghunath- its over. Ashish answered it.

@Ashish- Mithun Congratulates you for answering his 'tough' question :-P
disha-shetty on 18 Aug 2010, 10:17 PM
His Kannada seems to have improved, thanks to playing with Kumble, Srinath, Prasad and Joshi!
Raghunath on 18 Aug 2010, 09:57 PM
Ok guys So we have the winner here. Its Ashish Sharma "Bat logo has changed from ‘Britannia’ to ‘Reebok’"

Mithun himself wanted to declare it (from Dambulla) if no one does, he even had a great time reading the comments :-P
disha-shetty on 18 Aug 2010, 09:54 PM
Just one thing he is making him familiar with Modern Cricket his approach... and yes more patience i can see in him
sreehari on 18 Aug 2010, 09:35 PM
I m certain its nothing technical about his career for India. Its something related to Mithun or mayb RCB. I m predicting its those Qs whr we want the person to think deeply n thn laugh at th failure bcoz the ans is trivial!
whatever, admiration for a person makes a fan, not all the knowlede abt him :P

One more try for the right answer. Dravid Sir's Bat logo has changed from 'Britannia' to 'Reebok'. I have a hunch that I am right this time.
ashish-sharma on 18 Aug 2010, 09:09 PM
Is it his House? He earlier used to stay in Indiranagar residence. After Mrs. Vijetha Dravid delivered thier second child he moved to a different house(, an apartment if am not wrong..)
amoghavarsha-padiwal on 18 Aug 2010, 08:55 PM
may be his batting stance & the way he stands at the crease( may be i am getting a little too technical) he used to stand a lot straighter with the bat firmly put to the ground & the bat wud go a little higher while playing the shot( again may be i am too technical) though i am almost sure my answer is wrong.
:-P ;-) !!!!

I know the answer but I won't spoil the party here! Let the fun go on for some more time!!! ;-)

P.S. : I was asked the same question and I answered it correctly!
I feel so proud of my Dravid-knowledge! LOL
:-)
purnima-malhotra on 18 Aug 2010, 08:29 PM
Hey I think I got it 'Dravid Sir' doesn't mark his batting guard now using a 'Bail' earlier he used to mark his guard using a bail.

Also he isn't a 'Single' anymore :-) He got married
ashish-sharma on 18 Aug 2010, 08:18 PM
@HOLMES- even i found it vague and hence asked Mithun to be more specific, but all he said was "you know it or you don't??"
disha-shetty on 18 Aug 2010, 07:53 PM
He turned from a rookie to a legend in 14 yrs! The Q needs to be more specific. its so vague! so many possibilities of ans.
HOLMES on 18 Aug 2010, 06:50 PM
Actually Dravid has grown older and wiser in these 14 years.Nothing else has changed about him.
dibo on 18 Aug 2010, 05:36 PM
Nothing except his age ;)
Sujansalian on 18 Aug 2010, 05:33 PM
@Nidhi- It was just a casual chat on fb :)He wanted to know more about FFC3
