FFC3 : One of my greatest experience.

Sharing my experience with all you RCBians. Just experience, just my experience. Blog is meant to share ones experience right? Hence I am using my blog space to do it.

Before I start writing I would like to clarify you that this is my experience and not a Blog written against results of FFC. Because when a looser writes something people tend to think that he might be offending against the results. smile

Always a winner shares his experience. But this time its different. I wanna share my experience even if I am not in the listed 21.

Who ever you are, if you are reading this, I wish you read the whole blog before commenting (YES COMPLETELY). Am not here to ask Votes for sure (As FFC is over)

The last 15 to 20 days were the most memorable days in my RCB life which taught me lot of lessons giving me experience to progress in Blogging. Writing blog, editing, Collecting votes, Roaming around the city from one table to other, Shelling out all my money was few of my experiences. (Last 2 came along with only my application).

My App.

When the contest started, I was really waiting to participate. I waited for some entries to come out so that I get some idea on writing my application. After analyzing few apps of Goutam and others I started writing. It took me some 8 days to complete it. I thought writing a long app wouldn't be a prob as even Goutam's app was little long. Only today I understood that it should have been small. My third section was from my experience. It was filled with how we can Blog to impress the audience. Telling you again It wasn't from google. smile  My second section was a SPOOF match. If SPOOFing of RCB and MI players was offensive, Someone could have informed. If you really went through that match, Anyone would really like the second innings excitement smile With these two sections I feel I was a considerable contestant. Anyways its left to judges. But I bet! I am the only person who has read my application till now.

Passport.

Though its common sense that passport is very much required for this contest, CMs should have told the participants well before to have the passport during the auditions. I came to know about this only last week. But as I had confidence within me that I will get into final 21. I applied for passport last week. After announcing about Dravid being in finals. Dravid is my IDOL from my young age. It was my only dream to reach that place, so the TWO things that were needed was PASSPORT and VOTES. To get passport in a week, Tatkaal passport needs a higher officer's verification and a Notary affidavit. For these two document, Me and my dad went to everyone we knew. I had told my dad I need it by any cost. So he took a leave from his job and went around this. After getting them I had to travel all the way to my 20 km college to get bonifide certificate. Our college staff made me roam around college for 3 days for that small certificate. After all the difficulty I traveled some 30 kms to Passport office at 6.00 Am morning and came back at 8.30 night. The process there made it difficult. Now even if I have a PASSPORT its of no use.

I think if CMs had mentioned it earlier, I could have saved some 2500 rupees. As I spent all my day in getting Documents for passport, I had to spend all night to collect Votes. Dedicating all my days and Nights of Holidays towards this contest.I could have continued studying my tutorials.

Votes.

This is really a big problem to be solved. By looking at the results I feel VOTES were mere marketing strategy to get more members. I really wanna know how can CMs make use of our valuable time in this way. They will not know the difficulty for sure. Its really very much difficult to approach everyone for votes. Most of them have spent all their days online to get VOTES. We even had people who reported us spam for sending the Application link through message. raspberry I think review contest was thousand times better than FFC.

If CMs had told us that only application will be considered, not Votes. We could have concentrated on that category instead of literally begging everyone for a VOTE.I could have taken all my 15 days to prepare a mater piece for this contest. If you CMs get time now, do read other applications on which your eye is yet to roll on. I think even CMs should have specified the number of words to be used in a section. As I see most of the winner's blog has less number of words when compared to other applications.

I don't wish to ask them what's wrong in my application, Because finding errors is the most easiest task. People even find out errors in a MASTER PIECE work. Its not a difficult task when compared to experiencing the pain of loosing after working hard. I really cant take it. I was on Cloud 9 that I will be meeting my Hero. But those dreams were shattered. smile

I thought even Loyalty will play a role in selecting the contestants. But I now realized the need was a professional photographer, Blogger and Podcaster not necessarily a Loyal RCB fan.

But I do think CMs should have mentioned certain things under FAQ. And anyways Past is Past. Now I have to forget everything and get back to normal. I should start preparing for my other projects instead of cribbing around this. smile I just shared my experience.

I know that in a game one will win and one will loose. But it just depends on how well we fought at the battle. And I think I have given a great competition for the participants. That gives me some sort of satisfaction even if no one reads it.

From this contest, I have learnt many lessons.

1. Not to be over confident.

2. Every contest in the world will have a * indicating the hidden terms and conditions.

3. Don't take things so seriously.

Again I'm telling you people its my experience during this contest. And am still not against the results. But I'm really sad that I will not be seeing Dravid.I think If I get my enthusiasm back I may write Blogs for every match at CLT20 right from here even before the chief blogger does it :D raspberry

Thank You.

Good one rakesh. You put in a lot of effort getting the passport.

Everyone including me have put in a tierless amount of time for votes. I had to remind my friends, call them for votes. Many of my friends helped me by asking there friends to vote, they are also disappointed.

I agree IPL review contests was better, i am sure in future votes should be never be used or told as a means to judge.

Rakesh, live life with the concept "No loss is a defeat."

As Gautam said, u got a solid id proof and next time whenever u get a chance to go abroad, u won't be spending the 2500 bucks and the long hours under the sun.

You know what mate, I got a passport delivered at my doorstep today and I got it made under the Tatkal scheme too :P.

I guess I deserve to write another blog about my experience, though, the CM's don't find us capable of writing as bloggers. :P

Written true maga.
Yet the passport you've made serves a purpose.
You've got an added identity proof.
Same scenario happened to me twice.
Lost out admission to a Univ in Singapore.
Lost out selection for an Inter nation cultural Organisation in college.

You write good man! I really appreciated your application's third section. The interview format was really well thought of, innovative and interesting.

Must read article. :)
