Gunning for the Champs - CSK Game Buildup
The boys are raring for a go at the defending Champs, CSK.
So, onward to Chennai. On the flight from Hyderabad, Ray Jennings who as usual has an extra bag (are they notes to the boys!?) was asked by the pretty flight attendant about what he would like to have. “Ten wickets!”
The RCBians filed into the plane after some snacks in the Kingfisher lounge at the airport. Landing in Chennai late evening, the ‘boys’ went about their unpacking and light gym sessions. The morning arrived soon and some of the players scrambled to the buffet breakfast because it was closing at 10:00 am whereas they’d been used to something closer to 10:30 in the other hotels they had stayed at.
Mohammed Kaif, pencil thin and fit as ever, found a comfortable table with some friends. He is very interested in World history including the Wars of the last century. Apart from that, he mentioned his interest in flying kites in Lucknow. Good to know a tradition is being kept up with.
The players had a swimming workout cum relaxation session. Dilshan said “Looking forward to the next game fans.” The players know the fans are expecting a lot and are up for it….
