Had been to the Rock in India concert in Bangalore!

I haven’t been to a concert for ages now and this opportunity seemed mouth watering. Community manager Anisha coordinated the process perfectly, and the three of us (Sanketh, Pradeep and I) reached the venue well in time.
It took us some effort to convince the security guards to let us in with our cameras (foreigners could carry anything and do anything by the way…. They were seen happily smoking and clicking away, and the rules were clearly only for non-whites like us). Once inside, we had a good time, what with the loads of stalls of interest and plenty of pretty women doing the rounds J
There was a Royal Challengers stall with merchandise on sale and a Nintendo Wii Beach Cricket game on demo. The Romanov stall selling booze at reasonable rates (Rs.50 for a large of Romanov Red Vodka) was a big hit, with the highest number of visitors. There were also some extreme game zones and stalls serving Coffee day merchandise, idlis, chaats, etc.
Until the headliners hit the stage, not many ventured to the main arena. We peeked into the Red Lounge, which was a nicely lit placed with free food and booze we guessed J.
Richard Marx honestly, didn’t live up to my expectations atleast, until his last song ‘Right here waiting for you’ which got the crowd to sing along with him.
But when the Backstreet Boys hit the stage, the crowd were absolutely thrilled and we were treated to some real good music and dance by the band. They sung all their best songs, and the crowd seemed to know every song word-to-word. Sometimes, we lip-synced J
The show ended at about 10, and to be frank, it was surely a worthy wait for the headliners Richard Marx and the Backstreet Boys.
Thank you RCB for the free tickets… you really made our evening!

This years Rock in India was no match with previous years. The organizers made a mess of it with the announcement of the line up.Rock in india and backstreet boys didnt make sense to me at all. After Iron Maiden,Megadeth,Machine Head to headline the festival in previous 2 years they got BSB to town.Funny of sorts.
I attended the Delhi chapter and it was sad as hell. With not more than 1500 people at the concert. No booze too.Damn! this isn't bangalore.I couldn't believe this was the same concert for which i traveled to bangalore in 2008 and 2009.

Approx how many turned up in bangalore?Judging by the city's love for rock and metal,i dont think many.
